Mount Kilimanjaro - You will be transferred from your hotel in Moshi to Simba Farm where you wil start your bike tour. Our cycle day starts with a downhill slope through the farm as you head toward the main rough road. We will follow the main rough road through the Ngare Nairobi village and cycle along the Ndarakwai Conservancy border towards the West Kilimanjaro airstrip. We will then follow the main dirt road towards the TingaTinga village. Our ride will end at the Olpopongi Maasai Village where we will be spending the night. Upon arrival at the Olpopongi Maasai Village you will be welcomed by a traditional Maasai dance, before having lunch and settling into your Maasai-hut style rooms. You will engage in a Maasai cultural tour in the evening before ending your day by enjoying a great dinner around a bonfire.

Encompassing both Maasai community territories and Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs), the West Kilimanjaro plains in northern Tanzania offer an extraordinary mix of flora and fauna amid stunning vistas of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The region, with its vast expanses of acacia woods and fertile plains, hosts an impressive selection of wildlife. Common species found here include wildebeest, zebra, gazelles, impalas, giraffes and baboons. Depending on the season, elephants might also be sighted as the plains serve as a passageway between Kenya’s Amboseli’s National Park & Mt. Kilimanjaro. The region is inhabited by the migratory Maasai herdsmen who harmoniously share these lands with the native wildlife, hence the nomenclature ‘Maasai Land’. With their abundant cultural heritage and an array of wildlife, a biking trip across these plains will appeal to those thoughtful tourists seeking a unique, far-from-the-crowd adventure that encompasses nature walks, photography, cultural immersion, and scenery.
