What can I say about ZAFS and the Kilimanjaro experience with them - We were introduced to them by someone who had toured Mount Kilimanjaro with them. Based on that recommendation, we started to plan our Mount Kilimanjaro trek with them. Boy! And what an experience! From their expert advise, to the professional approach, to the team escorting us up the mountain, to the gourmet food 4 times a day.... just simply amazing! Started with our initial connection with Huzefa and ended with him coming over to the hotel after the trek. With the main guides - John/Aubrey/Gabriel; to our personal guide Matthew (and the other personal guides our group hired)- ; the chefs Zakaria and team; our dining tent managers and to each of the crew members, the porters. And not to forget Murtaza, the youngest member of the ZAFS team on the climb. Not once did the members of the ZAFS team complain about anything with the trekkers. Always smiling, supporting, holding hands (literally and figuratively), holding us through our emotions all through the way. We requested for stand up tents after the 1st night, we had them the third night even though the trek had already started. We requested for some Indian styled food and they accomodated that. While the experience of going up the mountain was fantastic, it was because of ZAFS being with us. We were 8 trekkers going up but the crew was an average of 4 per person. Not only the size of the crew, the services provided by ZAFS were very reasonable considering it was a 8 day tour. We had 2 major and 1 minor accidents during our descent, such that all three individuals had to be air lifted to be medically taken care off. What was truly amazing was 1 person was helped going to the helipad (about 2 kilometers away) by our senior guide John but the other person injured was literally piggy backed on the back of a porter from a completely different group of trekkers. Amazing hospitality worth learning from the Tanzanians! ZAFS not only conducts Mount Kilimanjaro tours, but also does safari tours. I am sure that even that would be something they would do excellently. No question that if I ever go back to do either, ZAFS would be the way we go.

ZAFS-- Very, very highly recommended for Mt. Kilimanjaro - ZAFS arranged for our hike on Mt. Kilimanjaro and they were fantastic. The attention to detail was unsurpassed and every effort was made to provide superb service. The company owners came to meet us at our hotel. The accomodations in hotels in Moshi were excellent, as was the transportation between airport,hotels and the Kilimanjaro park. The hike leaders were extremely well trained, friendly, polite, and enthusiastic. They tried to help at every turn. The food was extremely good for a high altitude hike. I had the misfortune of having an accident on the descent and required a helicopter evacuations. The hike leader and other guides were with me at every stage. After transport to the hotel, ZAFS showed up at the hospital to make sure everything went smoothly. Since hospital services were in Tanzanian cash currency, the ZAFS attendant actually went to the ATM machine and paid for the services himself. I cannot speak highly enough about this organization and give them my highest recommendation.

Gaby and Aubrey were the other guides always there and helped me summit successfully!! The entire team is always smiling and ready to help !! Removing the gaiters and boots after a long day of trekking !! The most wonderful experience I have had , and I have been to EBC and Bhutan but this was the best ! 8 day Lemosho climb - ZAFS arranged our 8 day Kili climb via the Lemosho route followed by a 4 day central Serengeti and Ngorongoro Safari. The entire mountain experience was exceptional, made possible by a very capable crew / including lead guide Alex and his fellow guides Mushi , Ericki, Aubrey and Tembo. Our climbing group of 6 had a support team of 29, who ensured both our safety and comfort on the mountain. The quality of food prepared by chef Zachariah was amazing - three delicious meals a day including hot soups, meats, stews, pastas, fresh fruit and so much more served with a smile by Cornelli. The guides set good expectations of what would be in store each day, including summit night (all 6 summited) and monitored our health, pace and motivation on a daily basis. Each day as we set out the crew efficiently took down the camp and the Kili fighters raced ahead and set up camp including all our tents (with our duffel bags), kitchen, mess and toilet tents ahead of us. They are hard working and the team who make it all happen. ZAFS operator Huzeifah is very responsive and accommodating of inquires and requests. Everything was prearranged from airport transfers and hotels before and after the climb and safari. ZAFS arranged our trip on behalf of our lead expedition leader Jayesh Morvankar of Odati Adventures, Mumbai, who was the mastermind behind our trip!

Kilimanjaro Lemosho route - We did the 8 day Lemosho route with Zafs in early Sept. it was a great experience. The guides, Alex, Erik and Mushi were fantastic. Zachariah was a great chef and overall everything was well organized.

Best hiking tour - One of the best hiking tour by ZAF TOUR. All services was best including meals ,tents ,guide ,cook and supporting staff. Well organised and nice friendly staff.
