Incredible Experience of my life - Jambo !! I will begin by saying that I can’t thank enough the experience I had with Zafs. I enjoyed every single aspect of my trip. The Kili warriors and the guides we had were incredible. In a foreign land, away from my family I felt like home. Each Kili warrior took care of us like we belong to them. I could not have climbed the summit without my guide Alex, Moshi and Erick. In the morning we had Cornelli come and wake us all up for morning coffee. There are a thousand moments and stories that I can keep writing. All I can say is that don’t even think twice before booking the trip with Zafs Tours. Incredible people and incredible company !!!

Jambo Jambo to Uhuru! - What an adventure! Had an amazing experience hiking the Lemosho route with Zafs Tours. We opted for a private hike so our team was small and super efficient! Big shoutout to our guides John & Martin who were a perfect combination of quiet leadership & loud laughs. Mathew, Ali, Matata & the rest for being our backbone on the mountain. And finally a big shoutout to our amazing cook Abu. He is a Master of Soup!

journey of a lifetime - Zafs tour has definitely exceeded my expectations. The guides, Prosper and Aubray were professional and experienced, gave us important briefings every evening took our pulse ox readings, monitored our progress since day one and always reminded us to drink plenty of water. The chef always served us fresh hot food with unlimited supply of tea and coffee anytime at the camp. We had a private toilet, which was kept clean at all times. I must say without their care, compassion, advise and determination of the guides and porters, this would have been impossible. I thank Zafs tours for the services and everlasting memories that we have engraved on Kilimanjaro.

Mount Kilimanjaro Summit - I was on Mount Kilimanjaroo Treck from 20th August to 27th August through Lemosho route. All services inclusing Trecking Guide, Food, porters, day to day requirements were above my expectations prior to this expediation. Everything was well planned by ZAFS. Our Guides JOHN and MARTIN did their best to reach SUMMIT of Kilimanjaro. Advise only to suggest GILMANS where they are availing low quality multiple time used Gears at a very high cost. During summit day it was very difficult for me due to Gears taken from GILMANS.... Thanks

Hike+safari - I had the best experience with Zafs Tours. I was in contact with Zainab to book the trip, and she was incredibly helpful, providing all the information I needed and creating a package tailored to my needs. I did the Kilimanjaro Lemosho route. The crew team was excellent, with Gudluck serving as our amazing chef. He prepared nutritious meals and even provided snacks for the journey. Mussa was my guide and was exceptional—his encouragement, positive attitude, and belief in me made all the difference. He truly made my dream come true. I will definitely recommend Zafs Tours to all my hiking friends.

outstanding experience, thank you Zafs - Most highly recommended tour operator, absolutely fabulous. We booked a departure for the 8 day Lemosho Route and the communication and support from the outset was outstanding. Zainab was available to offer advice and tailor our trip to our needs, all logistics were taken care of in advance and we even had a pre trip Zoom call to go through everything we needed to know and take. On arrival we were collected and taken to BruBru Lodge, a lovely small boutique hotel, where we had a comfy night before meeting our lead guide Mussa the next morning. Mussa is a gentleman and consummate professional, he and his team looked after our every need. We were the only people to select the departure date and so essentially had a private tour, and were supported by a team of 11, 2 guides (Mussa and Gabriel), Abuu the cook, (sorry I now forget individual names but they will know who they were), waiter who would gently wake us with hot drinks, top up water bottles, bring food, tent man - we loved him, always there to greet us, dust of some of the volcanic fine soil that covered everything, toilet man - you really appreciate the private portaloo - stay clear of the long drop toilets and walk away from any operator that doesn't offer a private toilet!, and of course others to carry tents, food, luggage etc. The porters were our Kili's hero's and carried up to 20kg at high altitude like supermen. From the outset you don't have to worry about anything, all the paper work and logistics are taken care of, your biggest challenge will be forcing down 3-4 litres of water per day plus snacks whilst walking, coping with the diamox effect (strong diuretic) and consuming vast amounts of food (especially if like us you don't normally have large quantities of carbohydrate)! The wonderful wildlife and scenery are pointed out and insights shared as you walk with your guides, I would say the first 6 days are a gentle introduction, especially if like us you are lucky to acclimatise well and are reasonably fit. It's worth doing Shira Peak, fabulous views and a little introduction to the gentle scramble that you will face on the Barranco wall if you are not used to the exposure (we loved it and have a history of climbing but others seemed to struggle and needed extra hand holding to make it up the wall). Our guides clearly assessed our ability all the time and were able to adjust pace and allow us a little extra sleep as despite the poli poli we still covered the ground quite quickly. Whilst care is taken to check you have everything you need and you have taken the diamox etc again it wasn't intrusive, we spoke to others who had to show the contents of their bags and planned outfits for the following day to the guides; perhaps we passed a secret test and didn't need this level of supervision, but it would have annoyed me and so glad we were treated like grown ups with some mountaineering experience. The summit night is hard, again glad we got a little extra time in bed and left camp at 1:30 am, but as you ascend above 5000m we did find it really effortful to keep moving up, especially accelerating past some of the other climbers. We were mindful of the people being taken down, it does remind you how big the challenge is that you are undertaking, and we had been aware of several helicopters taking people down from base camp the previous day, and this would be repeated each day it seems. With support from Mussa, Gabriel and Matthew we made it to the top, an emotional moment and a sense of achievement that makes all the hard work worth while and you really appreciate everything that team of 11 has done to get you there. I think it is possible we could have done a shorter trek but I feel that the extra time gave us the best chance of success and we loved every minute. The descent is not to be forgotten, keep back some energy for the steep walk down to base camp on scree and broken ground, it took about 2 hours and it was pleasant to be warmed by the early morning sunshine. A quick nap before descending a further 7.5km down to 3100 m, this is where you need to look after those knees! It was then soon time to say goodbye to the team and then back to the lodge for a much needed shower and a celebration drink. In terms of food, we loved the soups and could have been fuelled by these alone with a handful of bread, however, that was followed by a variety of carbohydrate rich meals, we were treated to pizza a couple of times, and tempura fish and chips amongst other things. At times it felt the combinations were unusual for our palates and maybe a little bland, but there is a range of sources to add flavour and again speaking to other travellers (some had paid significantly more for their trek) we found that they had similar experiences and even were envious of our pizza treat! I think Abuu did a great job given the dietary requirements (high carb and protein) and the limited cooking facilities, thank you. The only thing we would change is taking a thermarest, as the foam mats provided are ok at insulating you from the floor but didn't provide as much cushioning as we would have liked, it's a personal preference and easily sorted in advance, very much our own fault.

Kilimanjaro Treking with Zafs Tours Via Lemosho Route - Kilimanjaro Treking with Zafs- Lemosho Route It was my 2nd time getting service from ZAFS. Huzeifa and the entire team work very professionally and give out the best quality service. They provide the best high-quality mountain gear from Gilmans store for trek use. Gilmans store staff ensures the right size and comfortable gears are provided to use. I appreciate Rukhaiya for her guidance regarding the trek and to get the right mountain gear. The constant motivation, guidance, and support received from my guides (Mussa & Ezekiel) and the team (Rajab, Saidi, Priscus, and every team member) were very much appreciated. (You all are truly amazing) My dream to conquer the mountain was achieved successfully only because of the entire team. Huge thanks to the entire ZAFS team 🙏🙌 Highly recommended tour agency.
