Highlights
  • Mount Kilimanjaro - We will start our journey at One Bike Shop, in the city center. Our trip will start with a two hours car transfer to the Londorossi gate on the west side of the Kilimanjaro mountain. From there we will begin the challenging bicycle ride upon the steep road that will take us through a rich green rainforest. We will find ourselves in the middle of many birds and wild animals. Then, the road will take us to the moorland zone from where we will be followed at all times by two beautiful views. On one side, uphill, we will see the magnificent Kibo peak covered with snow. On the other side, downhill, endless Maasai land will bring us peace and calmness. Depending on weather conditions, we will have packed lunch and take a break once we reach Shira plateau. We will then begin our ride back downhill. Finally, the ride will end at the Londorossi gate, from where we will organize a transfer back to the city.

Great tour! - This was such a unique tour. I wanted to do something different other than trekking and so chose this. Roger was an exceptional guide very experience cyclist and the best thing about him was his calm and patient manner. Be forewarned, this isn’t easy (well if you’re a novice to cycling on rough terrain like me!) The trail has a lot of rocks and streams which you are required to cross by carrying your bike. I struggled, but Roger really did make the experience easier for me, when I couldn’t cycle he agreed to walk and push, he carried my bike for me across the rivers/stream and it didn’t seem to phase him. Don’t let what I have said phase you either because even if you are not an advanced cyclist you are still in good hands. If you like cycling, want a challenge, want to see some amazing views be sure to book this trip!
