A Dawn Like No Other

As a wildlife photographer, I’ve always been drawn to the ethereal beauty of the natural world, and the idea of experiencing a sunrise from a hot air balloon in Mossel Bay was too tempting to resist. The early morning air was crisp, and the anticipation was palpable as I arrived at the launch site. The crew was already bustling about, preparing the balloon for its ascent. I was handed a steaming cup of coffee and a traditional South African rusk, a delightful start to what promised to be an unforgettable morning.

Watching the balloon inflate was a spectacle in itself. The vibrant colors of the balloon contrasted beautifully against the soft hues of the dawn sky.
