Mostar is a city of contrasts, featuring wide roads and narrow streets, the traditional Kujundziluk (old bazaar) alongside a modern center. It is a place where the cultures and arts of the East and West converge, leaving enduring marks that have withstood the challenges of nature and rulers. Amidst contemporary buildings, the towers of churches and the minarets of mosques stand tall. However, the most remarkable stone monument is the Stari Most (Old Bridge), constructed in 1566 based on the designs of Hayruddin, a renowned Turkish architect of the 16th century. This impressive stone arch is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Ottoman house, also known as Bišćevića corner, is one of the most beautifully preserved residential buildings from the Turkish era, built in 1635. Visitors can admire original household items throughout the house, and the courtyard exemplifies the Ottoman style. Guests are greeted with homemade juice upon arrival.

Encounter the richness of history in abundant quantities in Mostar, a stone town built upon a solid rock, nestled along the banks of the swift Neretva River, and home of the one of the most stunning canyons in Europe. Its plethora of monuments, largely from the era of Ottoman dominion that reached its westward zenith here, will leave an indelible impression. The blending of this invader with Western influences created a rare melange, a blend of Oriental, Byzantine, and Western civilizations.
The Stari Most (Old Bridge), a testament of beauty in solitude and grace, bends over the Neretva River in a towering arch, hence, referred to as the stone-cast crescent.
