Mount Batur Sunrise Hike and Optional Natural Hot Spring is a combined package that includes a sunrise trek and optional hot spring soak or other activities in one day.
What are the highlights?
- Embark on an early morning trek up the stunning Mount Batur with an experienced local guide.
- Witness the sunrise from the volcano’s peak and explore craters from 1804 to 1949.
- Relish a well-deserved breakfast with a hot drink at the summit while enjoying the brilliant sunrise colors.
- Cap off your active morning with a soak in a natural hot spring and a refreshing coffee before heading back to the hotel (Optional).
- Add optional trips such as a swing, waterfall visit, and other activities in one day.
Upon arrival at base camp, receive a brief introduction and safety briefing from your guide. Before and after your 1.5-hour hike to the summit, you can relax in our Mt. Batur base camp lounge, the only base camp in the area with clean and comfortable toilet facilities.

Superb! - Fantastic trip up Mount Batur. Our guide, Made, was a gentleman and made our experience super special by letting us stay up the mountain after the crowds had gone to enjoy the summit to ourselves. We used a hut at the top to eat our breakfast which was great as sheltered from the weather - most other people sat exposed on benches. It also meant we had an uninterrupted view of the sun rise. We combined with hot springs and coffee plantation. Hot springs was super nice after the hike - the fact that we started up the mountain longer meant it was not so crowded when we got the springs. Coffee plantation was interesting although aim was to sell us products which we declined. Air con taxi and English speaking driver Eri was also great. Really recommend this company

Sunrise Mount Batur Trek and Hotpools - Picked up by Bill very promptly at the agreed time in Ubud. Bill was a great driver and took us swiftly to the destination for the Mount Batur sunrise trek. Our guide for the trek was Gooday who was very knowledgeable and couldn’t do enough for us. Trek was moderately difficult, we (32 year old group of 4) got up in 1 hour and 15 minutes with a fair few breaks.
After the trek Bill took us to the hot springs and waited for us as we soaked. Bill then took us back to Ubud.

Best tour to Mt Batur and Waterfalls - The best organised tour I have ever had!!! Niko (driver) texted me in advance to introduce himself and re-confirm address. He came on time and drives super safe and fast. The guide on Mt Batur (Aya) was very kind and caring person. After hiking Niko suggested to go to coffee (which was for free) and accompanied me during Water Fall visit. So happy to meet such a kind and caring people. Definitely will recommend to everybody!!!

Beautiful sunrise! - This was a fantastic trip and one of our highlights in our visit to Bali.
Everything was so smooth and Wi and Ketut made sure we were looked after. Wi communicated with me before the trip to arrange pick up. He collected us and drove us efficiently to the base camp. He connected us to our guide, made sure we had warm jackets (which can be rented) and made us a warm drink.
Ketut was our walking guide- he was amazing! Patient, supportive and kind- he made sure that we were safe and we were able to make the climb. It’s a HARD climb- but we felt so happy when we reached the top. The sunrise was gorgeous and worth all the effort.
Ketut helped us get down safely and happily and Wi drove us back to our hotel. Our thanks go to them for making this so memorable.

So worth the wake-up!! - The wake-up was early, but it was SO WORTH IT! Our wonderful driver Vixo picked us up at our hostel. As two young female travels we were slightly nervous to be picked in the dark, but he was incredibly kind and trustworthy. He even bought us water and snacks!
The Mount Batur hike was incredible! It was challenging in a fun way and it was cloudy the entire time so we had very low expectations of seeing a nice sunrise, but when we got to the top the clouds drifted and it was just a breathtaking view. So so worth it and our guide Putu was incredible the entire time!!
The hot spring was cool, but a little bit touristy and crowded by the end.
Chocolate and coffee tasting was so fun and super delicious!!
Overall an incredible experience for the price, very organized experience and seriously an unforgettable view.

Great hike - It was a good experience. Our guide was a local young lad and he was very kind and patient.
Bring some warm clothes, because it is really chilly at the top.

Fantastic Experience with a Super Fine Guide - A wonderful experience, brisk hike with 1 other woman and an incredibly sweet and helpful Guide
A fantastic sunrise seen with a delicious breakfast
Upon return by our personal Guide dropped off at a Hotspring. After this we also tasted coffee and tea and dropped off at my Hostel. This 10-hour trip is worth it, I can recommend it to everyone!

Sunrise trek - Lubak was an awesome guide, great English, great photography! Would recommend the trek - sunrise, view and walk around volcano crater worth it.
