Mount Batur trekking is the most popular and one of the most challenging trekking activities that you have to do in Bali. It is the most recommended volcano trekking in Bali as seen on Tripadvisor and others guidebooks. Mount Batur is 1,717 meters high above sea level (the third highest peak in Bali) and considered as one of the sacred mountain according to Hindu belief. It is a semi active volcano located in Kintamani district of Bangli regency. An amazing and memorable experience - We booked a private (4 people) sunrise tour to do sunrise hiking to Mount Batur. Komang was our driver, he picked us up from two separate locations and we got to the starting point early (as we told Bali Ari Tour we walk slow and need to start earlier). Our trekking guide was also named Komang, he's very friendly and experienced, and helped the two girls in our group (including myself) a lot when the slopes were steep. He made us breakfast when we got to the top and showed us how to feed monkeys too. The views were breathtaking and the experience was very memorable. We were so glad we made the choice to come despite having to wake at 2am! After the hike down, Komang (the driver) took us to coffee plantation and the swings where we enjoyed Kopi Luwak. He told us a lot about the local culture and a big bonus is that he drives very safe too! Highly recommended!

Amazing day! - Great tour! Picked us up in a very comfortable vehicle and driven to Mount Batur by Wayan. Met our tour guide and headed up the mountain - tour guide was very friendly and helpful, very experienced and knew lots about the mountain which was great. He set a pace that suited us specifically. Lovely breakfast of bananas, eggs, bread and jam prepared at the summit by the Guide. The views were absolutely breathtaking. Headed back down and we were escorted by Wayan to the hot springs very close by (baths powered by springs) and had pineapple juices which were included. On the way back we stopped at the Tegallalang Rice Fields for a photo opportunity. Wayan was great - very knowledgeable and made the tour very flexible with timings. Would highly recommend
