Bushiyi to Shiloko Campsite
Mt. Elgon National Park - Trek through Mixed montane forest made up of dense forest dominated by a range of species in a variety of combinations. the main species being Podocorpus and remnbants of Anigeria spp. En-route are the magnificent rock formations and caves, ridge view point, tropical forest mammals notably monkeys and a variety of birds.
Shiloko Campsite to Wagagai Peak
Mt. Elgon National Park - Morning: Begin the exhilarating ascent towards Wagagai, the peak of Mount Elgon, reveling in the rugged beauty that unfolds along the way.
Afternoon: Reach higher altitudes and savor a packed lunch, feeling invigorated by the majestic surroundings. If time permits, descend into the world’s largest mountain caldera, marveling at its immense scale and breathtaking vistas, then make your way to the serene Jackson Pool for a moment of tranquil reflection.
Evening: Descend back to Dubii campsite, basking in the accomplishment of conquering the peak.
Dubii Campsite to Bushiyi Trail Head
