A Great Southern Plantation Experience - What a perfect experience! Gorgeous grounds and house, great tour info by guides and audio/video, and I really liked the option to self-guide around the grounds for the most part. This place also did great with showing the history and reality of plantations and slavery without being heavy-handed or trying to cover anything. I appreciated that I didn't feel guilty for touring slave housing, and that also the audio/video in each house did an excellent job of telling all the objective history it could plus the journey to emancipation. I nearly cried at the end. Also the woman who sang and talked about Gullah culture was a major highlight. It was also fun to see which movies were filmed using the house or grounds.

Very educational experience - Very Educational. The exhibitions here provide fact-based information. If you want to really learn about Charleston, you need to learn about the dark side of American history- Enslavement.

Impressive and Worth the Ticket Cost - One of the best tours I’ve ever done! The property is spectacular. There are multiple tour options. The history is honest and rich, and the effort to preserve history and bring it to life is impressive. I will go back during warmer months to see the gardens in bloom.

Amazing, informative tour. Highly recommend Boone Hall - Boone Hall is an amazing plantation. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and inviting. The plantation is very well presented. All amenities are modern and clean. The tour guide and presentations were extremely well done and informative so that you learn a lot during your visit. We liked the self-guided quarters and the wagon ride through the sprawling farm grounds. Great experience, Highly recommended.

Boone Hall Plantation- a "Must See" historical site! - Boone Plantation is a must-see historical site. Not only is it visually beautiful, but the multiple presentations around the grounds were excellent- and so informative. Stop at the Visitor's Center first, they will help you organize your visit so you can see all the presentations. My favorite was the Gullah-Geechee presentation in the enslaved housing area. The presenter was entertaining, and very informative. I also enjoyed the tram ride through the agricultural area of the Plantation. The driver gave us so much information about the past and present use of this land.

Excellent and interesting plantation visit - One of the highlights of our vacation. Very interesting and informative experience for our first time visiting a plantation. Was truly everything and more than what we expected. Asked multiple people which plantation to visit and also researched myself and can said without a doubt this is the plantation to visit!

A good overview of southern culture - A good overview of southern culture. Grounds are beautiful and self-guided slave homes a highlight. I would recommend as a nice start to a day and for area background. Easy to ride share to and from from Charleston.

Disappointed! Do better with your customer service, Boone Hall. - Bought 5 tickets online ahead of time to Boone Hall Plantation for Sunday 12/8/24 for company visiting. We’re arrived to the plantation only to be told they were closed for a wine tasting event. Although not at all what we went there for, we were willing to go into that for a couple hours instead. They were going to charge us $52 more EACH to “upgrade” our tix. When I questioned that, Natalie said she would only charge us half of what the difference would be then. Still not acceptable, when it was your website that allowed tickets to be purchased on a day you were clearly closed for an event. What should have happened was an apology given to me and my 4 guests (which we did not receive) and let us in to the wine event. My guests have gone and I’m on day two of trying to get a refund of $140! DO BETTER WITH YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE, BOONE HALL!
