Exciting tour with experienced, kind guide. - Our guide (Angie) was knowledgeable, friendly, and patient. I really appreciate the care she took not only with our group, but also with other hikers who were out on the glacier without a guide. She obviously takes her job seriously - and enjoys it!

Ice climbing optional - My wife and I had been on glacier hikes before, but I had wanted to try ice climbing. We had looked for ice climbing tours, but even for beginners they required that you be physically capable of climbing throughout to complete the tour. I was reasonably confident, but my wife was a bit unsure. She has the heart, but sometimes these things are just a bit beyond her. She found this tour which listed the climbing bit as 'optional' -- which was perfect. We could do the hike together and we'd get to try climbing, but if she found it wasn't for her she could standby and watch and just do the hike -- and that's exactly how it turned out. Our guide was Steve and he was great. Very friendly and encouraging. He worked with her to give it a few honest tries, but hanging over the edge of a 90 foot chasm in the ice was a bit too much for her -- so she just watched the rest of our group do it, and was just happy to be there. We were seven in our group and everyone was eager to try. There had been a couple of other folks who had been unsure, but Steve helped them feel comfortable and everyone else was successful -- including me. I was pretty tired by the time I came back up, but I definitely enjoyed the experience. Not sure that I'm going to be a career ice climber, but glad I gave it a try and might give it another go someday just to see if I could do better with my technique. Introduction to Really Fun Activity - This is a one day activity. Ice climbing is a super fun activity that doesn't require any previous experience. Putting on the crampons was also a first, but it was straightforward enough. Overall a fun day activity for active people. Our guide, Max, was excellent. Good communication skills and was very professional with a big emphasis on safety, which was appreciated due to the potential for serious injury from unsupported falls.

Maximum glacier experience - The tour was awesome. We had sun, which makes the environment even more beautiful and powerful. Our guides Steve and Dasha always have safety and fun in mind. It was that little bit more. I was standing on a glacier for the first time and could also try my hand at ice climbing. Plus the scenery. Great!

Amazing views and ice climbing experience - The tour had the most amazing views of the glacier. Our guide, Steve, was super knowledgeable about everything and was very helpful during every step of the hike and ice climbing. He did a thorough tutorial for our group on how to ice climb correctly before we started the climb. He really made sure that we felt safe doing the different maneuvers. We had a great time and would really recommend the experience.

Glacier excursion and ice climbing, highly recommended - It is a highly recommended excursion: it allows to spend a day in a beautiful and particular environment, doing a different activity. I had read a few reviews from people who expected something different, and in my case it fit perfectly with expectations. I really enjoyed it. I think it is organized in a way that makes it accessible to many people, something that is not easy in this type of activities, and that is important so that you can enjoy something special even if you do not have much experience. I was very grateful that the group was small, to adjust well to the time and be more personalized. Steve was our guide and was magnificent. He explained everything we were going to do perfectly, made sure we all understood and were at ease. In my case, I was traveling alone and I felt that at all times I was watching for the whole group to go at the same pace and feel integrated. It made everything easy, but at all times giving importance to safety and tranquility, it conveyed a lot of confidence and allowed us to have a great time. I very much appreciated your patience, but also your jokes and your attention. He conveyed security and professionalism, as well as passion for his work. I hope you are lucky enough to have this experience with him. And in any case, encourage yourself to this activity. Also very grateful to the driver, who was punctual, attentive and put all kinds of facilities for pickup and return. Overall, very happy with the day I spent with Artic Adventures.

Amazing Experience! - Amazing experience climbing glaciers. Booked this not knowing what to expect, but my friends and I loved it! Kique was our guide and he was awesome; friendly and patient. Highly recommend!

Unforgettable adventure and grateful to have Steve as our guide - We had an unforgettable and amazing time in the excellent care of our guide Steve on this adventure. Steve taught us how to hike in crampons and ice climb a 90 foot hole a.k.a. “le moulin bleu”. It was an incredible experience. Steve made sure everyone was comfortable safe and challenged and he even brought hot tea for us to enjoy while we watched others take their turns.

Exhilarating Experience with Breathtaking Views - What an exhilarating adventure! Just seeing the glacier was an experience in itself. It felt like being on another planet. Every direction you look is a completely distinct landscape-- one direction is black volcanic ash, another the blue glacial lagoon, another the green hills, and of course the ice (which is so many different colors itself!). We hiked out to where we could see a waterfall cascading toward the glacier, then began our ice climb by rappelling down into a "moulin." Our group ranged in age from 16-65, and everyone was successful with 2 separate climbs. It felt safe, but have enough of a challenge to be an experience none of us will ever forget!
