If you’re looking for a... - If you’re looking for a challenging hike in Ometepe, this is a challenge for you! Donald hiked this route many times and knew how to navigate through to volcano the peak. Prepared with first aid kit, and food. If you’re not fluent in Spanish, he speaks English very well! Highly recommend!

We had a great time... - We had a great time hiking the vulcano and saw two types of monkeys. You can smell the sulfur at the top and lunch is included.

breathtaking hike - Donald was an excellent guide on our hike up and down Concepión. He did a great job pointing out potential hazards as well as identifying plants, bugs, and animals like monkeys and birds. We hiked with someone who had knee surgery last year. Donald was super patient with us while we navigated the more treacherous and slippery parts of the decent near the summit. We're very thankful we had him on our trek and would recommend him to anyone that wants to conquer Concepión.

Exhausting but beautiful hike. - Very strenuous, but also very nice hiking tour. A varied landscape and with Donald we had a super guide who not only led us safely up and down, but also told us a lot about the fauna and flora of the Concepcion and interesting facts about the island of Ometepe.

Cool hike to Volcan Concepcion - Really cool expérience with Donald our guide which id highly recommend to ask for. Started the trip a 6h50 and were back around 3pm. Make sure you have enough water and good hiking shoes.

Great hiking tour with exceptional guide! - The hike to the peak of the volcano Conception was strenuous, to be honest, but absolutely worth it. Even though there was no view from the top due to the clouds (which is most likely to happen), the view from a bit below was quite spectacular. And my personal highlight: My guide Ronald who made this trip absolutely unique and amazing!

Guide went ABOVE and BEYOND - STRONGLY recommend using this tour group! My guide was Donald and it was just me and him on the tour and as a female solo traveler he made sure I felt safe and secure in many ways. Throughout the hike he checked up on me to see how I was feeling and then afterwards when my ATV stopped working he helped me get it working again and then if that wasn’t enough, he connected me to his taxi cab friend so that I had a safe ride back to San Juan when I left Ometepe. Truly went above and beyond. On the hike he also brought and extra water bottle and some lunch for us to share which was extra special and kind of him. Overall great guide and person and I am grateful to have had his guidance throughout this hiking experience (especially cause it was my first volcano hike).

Hiking - I did the hike with the guide Donald a few days ago. It was just us to together and a very nice experience. He talked English well and had many interesting stories and facts to tell. I will really recommend the trip!

Difficult but fun - The 7.4 mile climb up Conception Volcano was one of the most challenging/dangerous due to all the loose rocks and dead wet leaves littering the non existent trail. I was covered in sweat, mud/volcanic ash, dirt on my face & in my nails, cuts, blood, & bruises on my hands and bum (luckily no other injuries), unfortunately clouds covered the view up top, and there were many insects/bugs 🐜🍃🦟… but it was so much fun and the full of gorgeous leafy greens and monkeys 🐒.
