AMAZING!! Book this tour!! - As a solo female traveler who had never been to Zimbabwe, I was nervous arriving. However, Tamuka Travel (specifically Brighton) made all of my worries go away! This "tour" is more an aggregation of many events. Brighton essentially was my personal driver and liaison for the entirety of my 4-day trip, and connected me with great people who I knew I could trust because of his stamp of approval. It was nice having everything booked in one place but being able to see and do everything that I wanted to in the Falls area. Upon arrival, he explained to me that there was some flexibility within my booking. Many of the hotels he works with had availability, so he gave me the choice for which one best fit the experience I was looking for (I ended up at the N1). Day 1 included airport pick up and a sunset river cruise with other travelers (light snacks and drinks included). Day 2 included a morning tour of the falls (He gave me a choice on timing - I ended up paying $25 to upgrade to a sunrise tour, which was awesome!), a helicopter trip, and an afternoon tour of the Livingstone Museum in Zambia (I also got some excellent curios from the markets on both sides of the falls). It was nice to see the town on that side. Day 3 included the day trip to Chobe in Botswana (morning game drive on land, buffet lunch at a nice hotel, and afternoon game drive on a boat to see more of the water sights), and Day 4 was when Brighton brought me back to the airport. Brighton stayed communicative with me throughout, and made sure I was brought to the right people for each activity. I also had some free time on Day 2 so decided to do the Gorge Swing, which he brought me to. Included in the booking were 2 lunches (days 2 and 3 - on day 2 Brighton asked me where I wanted to go, Day 3 was part of the safari) and 1 breakfast (Day 2). He gave great recommendations for my other meals around the area. Highly recommend this booking, especially for solo travelers.

Jam-packed African experiences w/ private guide - Tamuka Travel was very professional & communicated well with us & our hotel during our stay. This package is jam-packed with experiences. Simon was our main tour guide during our stay. He was an engaging character who showed genuine interest in getting to know us as well as help us to experience the local culture. The first day we checked into our accommodations at the Explorer's Village which is a very well landscaped and maintained resort with friendly staff & good security. It is nestled near the Elephant's Walk market in Vic Falls & is easy walking distance to town/gas station/grocery (though watch out for being swindled at the gas station if you're converting to using USD & watch out for roving baboons in town). The sunset cruise on the Zambezi as well as the daytime cruise on the Chobe river were spectacular. We saw lots of wildlife to include elephants, hippos, crocodiles, monkeys, impalas, & many species of birds. The hike of Vic Falls was gorgeous & Simon ensured we were being educated as we walked. He also snapped photos for us to remember our visit. After the walk of the falls, we took the 15 minute helicopter tour which was breathtaking, if a bit scary! The day trip to Zambia & the Livingstone museum was alright. The museum had no one else in it & while it was educational it was also a bit on the boring side compared to seeing elephants & crocodiles or helicoptering over Vic Falls. We did enjoy haggling for souvenirs in the local market. On our last day we requested to have an authentic local meal, so Simon arranged for his colleague's wife to cook for us & host us in her home for lunch. This was definitely a highlight & we greatly enjoyed meeting local people and hearing their perspectives on local and international politics. They were very warm & welcoming & the food was traditional & delicious! Thanks to Simon & Tamuka Travel for an unforgettable & well-planned experience that allowed us to spend some time in 3 countries in 4 days!

Don’t book this, book it yourself - This tour was not worth the money, it’s honestly not a tour. We booked this thinking it was a guided tour, being 2 solo female travellers we like to always be with a guide especially in these kind of areas. The tour is advertised as a 15 group size with an English speaking guide. This is not the case. This wasn’t a group tour, it was only us. What you are paying for is someone to book third party trips for you via “get your guide” and then organise a car for you and message you with an hours notice on where to meet the car. There is no guide. Just a phone number you have to constantly message to ask “what are we doing and when” because they haven’t told you themselves. You can organise that yourself you don’t have to pay someone $2000 to do that, especially when the entry fees aren’t even included. So all you’ve paid for is the car, you get there and still have to pay to get in. It was extremely unorganised as well with horrible communication. Every time I asked what we were doing I’d get a reply with “can I see your itinerary”. So I’m confused do you not know what you have planned for me? Nothing was pre booked. The helicopter flight we didn’t know what time the flight was, so we just waited in the foyer for him to reply. I sent 4 messages over hours asking when are we getting picked up. And an hour before he finally replied with an answer. At the included lunch he said to message him when we were done so he could come back and pay. The restaurant had no idea of this arrangement and getting frustrated with us when we had to pay the bill. So we text him to come back and 1 HOUR LATER he turns up to pay the bill. Also the accomodation is advertised as either Sprayview or explorers village, which when you look them up are beautiful resort style accomodations that are 3 star and cost about $200USD per night. Without any communication about the change, we were dropped off at a place called N1, which is not a resort, it’s only 2 star and only cost $80USD a night. So the company has pocketed $360USD of our money by downgrading our accomodation without telling us. I did the math I looked up all the tours they booked us and the accomodation and the cost to get a driver. The total cost only came to around $800-900USD. Which means you pay $1000 to this tour company for doing literally nothing, I could have organised this better myself. In saying all of this though, the tours themselves were wonderful, the full day chobe was a highlight and the falls and the sunset cruise. The tours were good. Booking through this tour company was not good.
