All stall owners show respect to potential customers, inviting them with phrases like “mzungu”, “I’ve been expecting you” and “please feel free to touch, touching costs nothing”. It’s easy to find appealing souvenirs to bring home, although the sheer amount of things to see can be a bit overpowering. Encouraging you to shop, some vendors will hand you a medium-sized basket where you can place items as you peruse their stall. Vendors are courteous enough to express their gratitude regardless of whether you make a purchase. The market visit will be a successful quest for finding gifts for your loved ones.
