Mto wa Mbu - The bustling farming community of Mto Wa Mbu, located between Manyara and Ngorongoro, is home to around 18,000 people. This cultural melting pot is one of the few places in Tanzania where all 120 tribes coexist harmoniously. Despite its name, which translates to ‘Mosquito River’ due to the village’s permanent water source, there are thankfully few mosquitoes.

As an early riser, you’ll have the chance to spot wildlife that retreats deeper into the park as the day warms up. This day offers the incredible opportunity to witness the breathtaking Great Migration, as herds of wildebeests and zebras move across the Serengeti and Mara River towards the northern part of the park (Masai Mara in Kenya). Ngorongoro Conservation Area - After an early breakfast, you’ll embark on a journey to Ngorongoro Crater for a full day game drive.

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage site, features the world’s largest unbroken caldera, lush highlands, and diverse habitats. Home to the Big Five, it also hosts wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles. Unique landscapes include the Ngorongoro Crater and Olduvai Gorge. Rare animals such as black rhinos and cheetahs can also be spotted, making it a prime destination for wildlife enthusiasts. You can explore much of this incredible area if time permits.
