Svetitskhoveli Cathedral - Arrive In Svetitskhoveli in Mtskheta. Due to its historical significance and several cultural monuments, it is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (literally the Cathedral of the Living Pillar) It is currently the second-largest church building in Georgia, after the Holy Trinity Cathedral. As one poet writes about the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral when you look at it you believe God has been here. The patriarchal cathedral of Mtskheta occupies a central place among these monuments.
Svetitskhoveli is the most important monument of Georgian culture, art and architecture. Known as the burial site of Christ’s mantle, Svetitskhoveli has long been one of the principal Georgian Orthodox churches and is among the most venerated places of worship in the region. Svetitskhoveli was not only the site of the coronation of the Georgian kings but also served as their burial place.
Tsminda Sameba Cathedral - After visiting Mtskheta town we will go to see unforgettable places in old Tbilisi. Visit Holy Trinity Cathedral Sameba. Georgia’s main orthodox Cathedral, Sameba was constructed between 1995-2004 and presents a mixture of traditional styles of Georgian church architecture
Meidan Bazaar - Continue to Legvtakhevi (Fit ravine), visit the waterfall nearby, and take a walk towards the Sulfer bathhouse districts in Tbilisi. Some of the baths here date back to the 17th-19th cc. and are built on natural hot water springs. After that take a walk on Maidan square, Sharden street. Lots of cafes, bars and pubs, souvenir shops and art galleries are located here.
The Bridge of Peace - A pedestrian glass and steel bridge in a bow-shaped design sit over the Mtkvari (Kura) river in the Georgian capital. It was officially opened in May 2010. The bridge was brought to Georgia from Italy in 200 unassembled components.
Narikala Fortress - Continue to Narikala fortress by cable car and enjoy views of the city from the top. The fortress was first built in the 4th c. AD was known as Shuri’s Tsikhe, translated as Invidious fortress, and was subsequently established in 7th c. and 12th c. The name “Narikala” was given to the fortress by Mongols meaning “little fortress”. After that, we will see the Mother of Georgia, “Kartlis Deda” is a monument in Georgia’s capital Tbilisi. The statue was erected on the top of Sololaki hill in 1958, the year Tbilisi celebrated its 1500th anniversary. After visiting this area we will go back using the cable car
