Svetitskhoveli Cathedral - One of Georgia’s most significant cultural and spiritual landmarks, Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th century), also known as the “Life-Giving Pillar,” is a gem of Mtskheta. According to legend, the first church here (4th century) was built on the burial site of Christ’s robe. During its construction, a wooden pillar miraculously rose into the air, and holy chrism began to flow from it, healing all ailments, thus giving the church its name. Our private guide will take you inside the cathedral, bringing ancient stories and legends to life, showcasing stunning frescoes, and explaining the uniqueness of Georgian painting. Have you ever seen a swine-faced man depicted in a church? Let our guides immerse you in the world of myths and folklore.

Chateau Mukhrani - Welcome to the historic estate, castle, and palace of Chateau Mukhrani! Built by French architects and featuring gardens designed by a Versailles gardener for the Princes of Mukhrani in 1873, the estate was forgotten during the Soviet era but restored in 2002. Today, its ancient wine cellar houses 60,000 barrels of wine. Upon arrival, a chateau sommelier will guide us through the gardens and vineyards, where we can see the chateau’s horses. We will then proceed to the historic wine cellar in the palace basement to learn about the entire wine-making process, from harvesting to bottling. Our wine tasting will take place in the grand hall of Chateau Mukhrani, where we will sample four premium wines. The sommelier will share details about their vineyards and wines, followed by an al-fresco lunch in the chateau park, featuring delicious dishes prepared by a chef using organically grown ingredients.

Dzalisi - A short but scenic drive through the pastoral landscapes of the Kartli region will bring us to the outskirts of the village of Dzalisi, first mentioned by Claudius Ptolemy around two thousand years ago. Here, as we explore the ruins of ancient palaces, pagan temples, bathhouses, and even swimming pools, we will witness scenes from 2,700 years ago and marvel at the beautiful ceramic paintings of pagan gods and goddesses on the floors of the main temple.
