Interesting and fun hike - Trek was manageable and steadily decreased in difficulty as the route progressed. Guides were knowledgeable, humorous and considerate of all the varying speeds of the entire group and the entire trek , though tiring , was worth the time. Had a great time meeting people from different walks of life .

Fabulous day! - This was a very organized and thoughtful trip. Delicious food, beautiful views, a stop at a local coffee shop and walking through a couple of small villages, which was very interesting. There were also waterfalls and hot springs (not very appealing looking and it was very hot but that's not the guides' fault.) The guides were fun and knowledgable.

Fabulous walk with stunning views. - A well organised trip with friendly guides. Our group was a mix of ages & nationalities who were all fit. The walk was strenuous in places but thankfully mostly in the shade. Water was provided at the beginning & you could buy more drinks at different villages. The views were stunning & the waterfall very full! It was a little too fast & furious for our group to go in plus it was too cold lol. There were 19 walkers which, for me, was too large. This meant if you were at the back of the walking line you missed out on the information. It also meant that wildlife was sparse as we were all chatting. Having said that it is a walking tour not a wildlife tour & the walk was amazing. Lunch was cooked for us & served in bamboo cups. We had veg in coconut soup, rice, egg & veg rice & BBQ pork. Each dish was separate so you can opt out of any dish.

Enjoyable hike in the forests of Chiang Rai - We took the 1 day trekking group tour in Chiang Rai. We walked the forests, with so many different trees, with the bamboo and rubber trees being the most memorable. We walked to the waterfall and went through several villages of the hill tribes. The walk is actually quite challenging but the guide was excellent in taking care of the group. Make sure that your shoes has good grip as certain parts of the trail may be slippery. A few friendly gods (known to the guide) was following us on and off throughout the hike.

Chiang Rai Highlight for us! - James, Benson and the Chef (don’t remember his name were outstanding! J&B kept us at a decent pace as well as ensured we didn’t lose anyone. The bamboo skills these 3 have is so impressive!! They hand carved all the cooking implements, pots, bamboo steamers, bowls, etc. Most of those items were made well ahead of time, but they also made us chopsticks from bamboo during our morning trek - walking and carving on uneven terrain - and the chopsticks turned out like works of art! Even their use of banana tree leaves is fascinating!! IMO, I think they deserve generous tips.

Superb day in nature - Beautiful day in the forest, the path is natural so walking shoes. Jim, our young guide, is very nice, smiling, joker too and speaking some French and especially top to cook the meal using only bamboos, we feasted. A day full of discoveries, I recommend

Valid experience during your stay in Chiang Rai - The first part of the trek takes place in the jungle, with a good uphill climb and muddy/slippery terrain at times. Okay every case well dealt with. Recommended suitable shoes and long pants. Next stop for lunch (you don't eat bamboo, as I thought, but you cook with bamboo utensils) and then remaining part in more open views (paddy fields, fields and mountains in the background). The guides are very nice and smart, especially Wat. A bottle of water is provided at the beginning of the walk and there is the possibility to buy fresh water at a couple of refreshment points on the way
