Old Mumbai - This tour of Bandra led by Meherban Irani was fantastic. Seeing a different part of Mumbai, off the beaten track, was very interesting. Mr Irani's knowledge of the area and its history is impressive. The old Portuguese influenced buildings and streets are a must see before they get torn down and replaced with luxury condos!

Bandra: Then and Now - Enjoyed the sights, sounds & learning about the rich history of Bandra/"East Indians". From the [Bandra] Fort to the Steps, old bakery (clay chimney) and culminating at the bookstore selling some of the classics, it was a captivating experience. Our guide was knowledgeable and engaging. The walk requires moderate physical activity, but WELL worth it. As with most experiences in India, be prepared to engage all your senses. The Courtyard with its Christmas decorations/light was an architectural gem providing a window into the different influences that shaped modern India, particularly the Portuguese (Portugal). If you're feeling guilty about indulging in any of local cuisines, multiple church stops will give you an opportunity for penance. Wonderful experience!
