THE SLUM TOUR EXPERIENCE - Many times I have visited Mumbai but have not taken the Dharavi slum tour. This time I did, what an experience. I was met at the third wave coffee shop with wonderful Neha. Neha first went through what we were going to do and see, and went through and answered all my pre questions. Neha was very knowledgeable about the people working and living in the slums, and what was even better she personally knew a lot of them. This gave me a close up with especially the small businesses workers being able to, in most cases, go inside, talk to them, photograph them and try to comprehend how these people can work in such terrible conditions, of heat and noise, most doing a solitary job doing the same movements 12 hours a day 6 days a week. thank you Neha and Happy birthday.

Private tour Dharavi - Wonderful tour in Dharavi with Varsha. She is an excellent tour guide. She takes time, is very friendly and explains a lot about the life in Dharavi. I will definitely book another tour when in Mumbai. Also the pickup service from the hotel is perfect. Good and friendly driver and it feels all very comfortable, specially when traveling on your own.

Amazing tout. Learnt lots - Amazing tour. Our guide, Varsha, was so helpful, informative and funny too. We had a great time thanks to her. We weren’t sure what to expect from a slum visit but we were so gladly surprised. It was very informative. Definitely one of the best to do in Mumbai and special thanks to Varsha!

If you do one thing in Mumbai, do this! - Pooja gives an extremely informative and knowledgeable exploration of the slums. Their life is extremely difficult but everyone was very polite and helpful. Pooja has a wonderful sense of humor and energy. I cannot recommend this tour and this tour guide enough. We had an unforgettable visit and are grateful for the opportunity to learn about this side of people's lives.

Great but tainted - The tour was very informative and showed life in the slums. We were very impressed with the self reliance of the residents.
Pooja was our tour guide who was again very well informed, the only bit of advice I would give and especially as she is a working women . At the beginning of the tour she asked our ages and told my son he was very handsome, she should have stopped at this but, instead she went on and on asking if he had a girl friend , he said yes and she still went on to say that she does not mind and if he needed another . She just would not stop with this to the point where it was not funny and my son just laughed it off again and again . My question to Pooja is that if a man had spoken to a women/ girl like this would we accept it ? NO
As a mother I hated the length of the harassment the same as I would if it was one of my daughters being spoken to .As a woman it was embarrassing, perhaps I should have said it then but, again if it was a man to a-women I probably would have . We discussed it with my son later and as he is a respectful person he again laughed it off, abuse is not just physical and not just male to female .
