Additional Information
Vintage Portuguese homes with ornate architecture adorn this area that is home to the lesser known East Indian community. These forgotten by lanes take you back in time, when colourful quaint homes quietly lay within fruiting orchards. While the orchards no longer exist, you will still be charmed as this 400 year old hamlet is complete with vintage architecture, split-level coloured houses with staircases, dexterous woodwork and sloping brick roofs.
A twice fruit bearing mango tree, century year-old Goan clubs, a 125 year-old oratory dedicated to saint of epidemics and infectious diseases, or a historic perennial well that has a unique cultural significance
Matharpacady is seeped in history and stories that has given it a grade III heritage structure status. With modernisation and real estate costs explosions, small quaint bungalows are now giving way to monstrous contemporary buildings, thus robbing the village a little of its former magnificence.

Excellent experience of heritage walks - Heer is an amazing guide with lots humour and knowledge .even after staying in Bombay we never knew about heritage places we have😍I am glad we took the walk . looking forward to more heritage walks with nofootprint 😊

Beautiful walk through time - It was a beautiful walk and it made me aware of a wonderful place existing in this city centre which has enriching History pertaining to diverse cultural origins and homes of freedom fighters involved in India’s freedom movement , vintage homes and warm residents who have been living here for generations. The Christmas decorations were very subtly placed and highlighted the beauty of this historical area.

Matharpacady walk - Awesome tour by Aditya. Great history and story telling 👌. Learnt ait about matharpacady and it's history. Mumbai heat and aditya's humor made us sweat but it was absolutely fantastic tour. Kudos to NoFootPrints 👏🏻

Matharpacady Village Walk - Was my first time with the group but felt included and in fact found the tour really informative. Aditya was our guide and was very warm and friendly and loved how he stood patient with our questions and curiosity...allowed us to time soak in ..speak to the people and enjoy the tour...will come back for more...

A Christmas treat! - Being led by Adi through the alleys of Matharpqcady, I was reminded of how special my home city of Mumbai is. And that so much is still left to explore — of it and its history!

A wonderful X'mas eve spent with NFP at Matharpacady - A forgotten era revisited due to the efforts by No Footprints. Would highly recommend this walking heritage tour for those who want to explore the lesser known history of Mumbai and its East Indian/ Catholic Community.
The tour was really fantastic and our tour leader Aditya Pai did a fabulous job of covering all the big and small details of this wonderful heritage place- Matharpacady

Matharpacady - It was a pleasant experience knowing about the community and the history of that place. The location is really interesting. The heritage building and the stories that grow behind them are equally amazing. The walk was really informative, fun filled and i believe it has something for everybody, if anyone is interested in knowing about the heritage past, that the history books don't often talk about.
