Request Sukoon - Best Tour Guide! - Sukoon did a wonderful job of showing me all of the sights and explaining the history behind all of the main attractions. She was very easy to understand and was able to answer some additional questions about Indian culture. As a solo woman traveler, I really appreciated them pairing me with her vs a man. The car was very clean and was provided bottled water and snacks. The driver was safe and always close by our stops. Great experience!

Atik brings Mumbai to life. Sneha reveals the reality behind the Slumdog Millionaire ‘slum’, Dharavi - Atik brought Mumbai’s top tourist sights to life with comprehensive and detailed commentary. He also took care to engage our two primary school / early high school aged children. We travelled in comfort and never felt rushed at any site. Sneha walker is through the Dharavi suburb made famous by the film Slumdog Millionaire. We began with the laundry, plastics recycling and clothe-making industries of the area where she explained each in good detail. The plastics recycling in particular was really eye opening - since China banned this industry a few years ago a lot of used plastic flows through India. It’s a dirty and laborious job sorting through plastics of different types and colours, grading them, breaking them down into smaller pieces for making into lower grade products that go into the Indian market. We then went through a residential area. It was as actually quite peaceful and clean - a welcome reprieve from what we had seen, smelled and heard before. The homes, though tiny, were sturdy, well maintained and multi-storey. Dharavi is called a slum, but really it is a suburb and group of communities who live in a marginalised, communal area and do work no one else wants to do. The bustling nature of the area and the pride they have in their work, homes and location was clearly evident. There were no ragged people or begging. Well worth the visit.

Great experience! - Shruti and Hassan took us around a lot of spots that we requested and also walked us through several markets and through Dhobi Ghat and showed us some great view points and parks. A really interesting tour with the comprehensive sites of Mumbai.

Don’t miss this one - This is one of the best tours I have been on particularly the Dharavi Slums. You will witness the rise of the human spirit to overcome insurmountable odds. After the movie Slumdog Millionaire and the resulting tourists flocking to the slum these people have turned recycling plastics into a huge business where they make a variety of items such as clothes, backpacks etc. 1.2 million people live within 2 square kilometres . Our guide was an ‘untouchable’ who could now leave the slum but chooses not to as he wants to be near his family and enjoys the community spirit offered by its inhabitants. The money brought in by our tours goes to fund education for kids. As a result the people were happy and friendly towards us. A truly moving experience!

An amazing and enlightening experience. - Full credit to Viator, the 10 seater Minibus broke down on route. Swiftly he arranged taxis and guides and got us underway. ( This was ideal for the four in our group.) What a fantastic trip they gave us across this amazing, chaotic, wonderfully varied City. Our driver was so skilled and knowledgeable and took us safely to all the main places we wanted to see. He got us back to the Cruise Port, tired but very happy. I want to make a ‘special mention’ of ROOJA who took us around the Slum Area. This was an amazing, enlightening and at times moving experience of a huge area of poverty but wonderful industry and commerce. She guided us skilfully around and knew so many people and the layout of this unique place. Her English, her enthusiasm and sheer lovely personality made this visit absolutely unforgettable. We wish her well in life this amazing young lady. What a City, what a visit, we felt privileged to have witnessed the real India.

Absolute recommendation - We booked the full day tour incl. Dharavi Slum with Magical Mumbai Tours. First we went with the guide Pooja to Dharavi. She was really excellent as a guide and could tell us a lot of information about Dharavi. Afterwards we did the City Tour with our driver. He showed us many exciting places in Mumbai and fully responded to our wishes. As we were so excited about the day, we also booked an airport transfer directly through Magical Mumbai Tours. Again, everything worked out wonderfully.

Find another company - Very unorganized and not as described. We went to the slums first: that was very good. And then we had to fight with them and wait an hour for them to get another guide. We never had time for lunch.
