- Ram Ashraya - The journey begins with a tour of the Matunga market, where participants will discover unique ingredients from South India. Following this, the group will proceed to our home to delve deeper into South Indian cuisine and culture. Our home features a small garden where traditional ingredients are cultivated for our dishes. Participants will have the opportunity to experience our lifestyle, listen to family stories (our home is a multi-generational one with a rich history), and learn about the traditional instruments used in our cooking. They will also learn to prepare a few traditional plant-based dishes, with guidance on how to recreate them in their own countries. The experience concludes with everyone enjoying a traditional South Indian meal served on a banana leaf.
