Loved every bit of it! Highly recommend! - Our guide was simply super! He was fun, knowledgeable and kind! The tour was beautifully organised! Special mention for our driver, he was sweet too! We traveled with our three year old son and had an amazing tour. The coach was comfortable with washroom on board. Would definitely recommend this tour.

We had a wonderful experience. The bus coach was clean and comfortable as well. Extra bonus was the city tour when back to Munich which was not being offered in others. Thank you!

Must check this out when visiting Bavaria - I give this experience 5-stars across the board. The castle and views of the surrounding area including the Bavarian Alps, are absolutely breathtaking. The accommodations were outstanding (very comfortable bus ride with beverages served on board). Our tour guide (Tyler) was fantastic. He was professional and articulated instructions and expectations clearly. He is quite knowledgeable of the regional history and of course that of the castle. He made the trip. During the walking tour of Munich (after we returned from the castle) he showed us several really cool spots and provided some really interesting historical context. Definitely recommend staying for the full tour and not just bailing after seeing the castle. It's worth it.

A must do in Bavaria! - I had a lovely adventure to explore the beautiful castles in Hohenschwangau and concluding with a short walking tour of Munich city center. Tyler was our guide and he made every effort to not only keep us informed about the logistics of the experience but also to understand the history behind the castles as well as of Munich itself. After a very comfortable bus ride to the Hohenschwangau village, we had a bit of free time to explore at our leisure (whether to get food, purchase souvenirs, or even explore the courtyard of the Hohenschwangau castle) before the group walked up to Neuschwanstein together. The walk is a steady uphill on a paved road and takes about 30-40 minutes, but once you get to castle, it is totally worth it. Tyler timed our walk with just enough spare time to still take pictures at our leisure before we started our guided tour from the castle staff. Unfortunately, due to snowfall from the morning and the night before, the Marienbrucke was closed, but we still managed to get wonderful views of the castle and the surrounding village. Upon our return to Munich city center, Tyler took us on a detailed tour of the Christmas markets as well as other Munich highlights such as the river surfers. It was an enjoyable experience and I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Bavaria and have spare time to visit the beautiful castles!

Just perfect, cannot be any better.. - Loved this family trip via Viator that was conducted by Mike's Bikes and Tours. Our Guide Tyler was just amazing as he provided us with wealth of information about the Castle and much more. He was very knowledgeable and provided curated information about Munich, history of the Castle as well as many aspects about Bavaria. As history buff and a traveler will highly recommend this trip to anyone.

Beautiful - Fantastic , breathtaking experience I have never seen this before. The guide was awesome too. I didn’t like those guests that were late and made the group late. There should be a policy like give people 10-15 minutes but no more. The guide was fantastic friendly and knowledgeable

A Great Way to Visit and See "the Castle" - All in all, a very good experience. It was well organized and led by a very knowledgeable and likable guide. He did a good job of balancing providing informative information with allowing us time to explore the site and time on our own. A couple things to "know before you go": you must pay for castle admission in cash and on the tour (19Euros); there is about a mile walk up hill to the castle (as an alternative to walking, a carriage ride is available three-quarters of the way up the hill); no pictures are allowed during the state run tour inside the castle. A trip to Bavaria must include a visit to the Neuschwanstein Castle, and this trip by bus (with a walking XMas market tour at the end) proved to be a good value and a day well spent.
