Brilliant tour, brilliant guide (Jake!) - Jake, the guide, was brilliant!!! This was such a good tour, I didn't know anything about Dachau before the tour. Jake was great, gave so much history and explained so many little details. He made the tour really personal, both by talking about family history and getting to know everyone in the group. If you are visiting Munich this tour has to be on your to-do list and it's an added bonus if Jake is your guide! Really good value for money too!

Deeply moving experience - Our guide Nic was extremely knowledgeable. He was very respectful to the memories of the lost souls and to the importance of visiting and remembering the lessons learned from Dachau.

Amazing history - Our guide Steve made this tour amazing. He was super knowledgeable and have both history and personal stories. He also painted a picture for the layout when the camp was active. Be warned there is a lot of walking.

Moving trip to Dachau - This was a very moving and information full tour. Tom was an excellent guide who provided history and context to what we saw at the Dachau memorial. Tom also did a great job of ensuring we safely got to Dachau and back to Munich. I highly recommend this tour and Tom for your guide.

Educational - Learning about one of the darkest moments in history was so intriguing!! Learning Dachau was the first camp for Hitler’s political rivals and that every other concentration camp was modeled after it was not something I remember learning in history class in the US. Definitely worth a visit!

Hard to learn about, but a history everyone should know. - While it was very painful to learn about and to see photographs of how the people suffered and what they endured, it is an essential part of history that everyone should be aware of.

Great tour but very rushed - The tor was very informative and provided a great amount of information about the concentration camp and what the SS did there. However, it was extremely rushed and we did not get the time to see the entire camp or the memorials which was very disappointing. Aileen was very informative, but it was obvious that she had a schedule that had to be met and that caused a rushed feeling by all the attendees. In fact, it was hard to keep up with the group since we were required to move so fast.

A must see if you are in Munich - The tour is well organized. From the meeting location to the transportation to the Concentration camp and back. Lucia was our guide from Radius Tours and she was friendly, knowledgeable and personable which are great traits to have for a tour guide. The experience at Dachau is educational, humbling and leads to introspection. In this regard I could have not asked for any more. The two things you should be aware of when using a tour service. Being on time is key. If not you can be left behind. Second, there wasn't enough time to fully explore the camp. If I had to do it again, I would have taken the train myself, transferred to the bus and saw the camp at my pace.

We should have gone on our own - While its nice that the tour guide purchases tickets for the train and knows where to get off, you could purchase your train tickets and use Google to find what train, time, and where to depart from the train to pick up a bus to Dachau. The guide was very nice and patient but the group was too large and made it difficult to hear. We would have preferred touring Dachau at our own pace and reading the display signage in the museum.

Just go on your own - The concentration camp was amazing and you should definitely go and experience Dachau. The reason I give this tour 2 stars is because you should do it on your own. The tour takes you on public transportation to get to the camp and then you are force to stay with your group. You can do this whole experience in 2-3 hours does not need to be half your day.
