A VERY worthwhile experience - This is a very difficult place to visit but its very important and very worthwhile. Sam was my tour guide and he was fabulous -- very knowledgeable and very respectful. I would encourage people to tour and understand the crimes against humanity that were committed by the Nazis and appreciate how quickly this can happen in our current government structures.

Informative, historically accurate and well run - Our tour guide Alex was fantastic. He explained the history leading up to the creation of the Dachau camp and was very knowledgeable on the topic. He was also thoughtful, making sure we stopped in shady places (it was a very hot, sunny day) when he had to explain anything and giving us time to explore the site ourselves too. The site is very well maintained and gives a real sense of the atrocities committed there before and during WW2. There is so much to see and read in the museum that it's a shame there's not more time. Thanks very much for a great tour! I'm really glad I booked this!

Great guide and experience. - Our tour guide Aleks was amazing! He was very informative and open to all questions and conversations. He had a very cheerful and welcoming personality yet was able to deliver the information appropriately. The length of the tour was perfect to see all the elements of the camp. I would definitely recommend this tour as although the camp itself has lots of information boards/signs having the guide made it so much more immersive as he had his own binder of extra information. The transport there and back was also easy to navigate especially with our guide.

Everyone should go to see Dachau to understand what went on there. - Alex was an excellent tour guide. Very knowledgeable about Dachau and Germany history. He was kind and patient and had a very good command of the english language. We learned a lot about the train system and getting out of downtown without traveling on a tour bus. I would definitely recommend this tour especially with Alex.

MUST DO! And never forget... - The guide was very informative and really tried to get to know us and speak with guests individually. The tour started and ended at Marienplatz, which was most convenient for us. A Dachau tour is a MUST for both history-lovers and everyone else; we simply cannot fathom nor forget the era and events, and seeing everything in person was moving, sobering, and necessary. Everyone, regardless of nationality or political bend, must see this. Warnings: very sensitive topic, so may not be appropriate for younger children/students. Also, watch out for ants and mosquitos in barracks area during summer.

Never again. - Emotional day. Had to see it to understand how this terrible place existed at one time in our history. GOD bless the souls that perished here.

The size and history... - The size and history behind Dachau were informative. It’s a short train and bus ride from Munich. The entry is free into the Dachau. They have an audio tour option available at the Dachau visitor center. I’d probably choose that option and save time.

Sterile and Undersold - I so wanted to visit after reading and visiting other museums. This , however was a disappointment. It was sterile, newly renovated and made to feel like a museum rather than a place where atrocities occurred. Somewhat disappointing.
