Amazing Guide - Stephanie was amazing! Very informative, fun, and handles the bus drivers very well. The whole grounds are kept up very nicely, wish we had more time. Stephanie definitely made it worth the time even when we got stuck on the train heading back, she kept her cool and got us to where we needed to go. Totally recommend!

Dachau day trip - Very informative day at Dachau with Charlotte, our guide. It’s a ‘must do’ if in Munich. A lesson in history that is tragic and tells us how important democracy is.

Nice half day trip - Carlota was great, I feel like we needed another 2 hours, not enough time to read and see everything.

Learning Experience - Enjoyed the narrative from the guide. It helped move us through the museum and the grounds. A truly sad and unfortunate scene but important to learn to not repeat.

History cannot repeat itself here - This tour was a very informative and emotional tour for all. Our guide, Connie, was wonderful in sharing the details, sometimes harsh details and wanting people to understand to get a feel for what it was like for the prisoners at this concentration camp. She also shared the perspective of the people from Munich that lived outside of these walls and what they may or may not have known what was happening in their back yard. Connie too was emotional by the end of our tour. Very impactful.

Not Efficient - From the meeting point we rode the train, then a bus to get to the site, followed by walking and bathroom break. It was over 1.5 hours into the tour until we got any guided info. Then because the museum was crowded and our group was so big, we kept walking back and forth trying to find places where our guide could talk without too many interruptions. When our guide spoke, she had good information, but we wasted so much time. Personally, I’d prefer to get to the site on my own and do self-guided. We ended up breaking off from the group and reading on our own as the inefficiency was frustrating.

Sobering - It was sobering. Highly recommend a visit to the camp for everyone. I would have liked a little more time to read the many displays and exhibits, although our guide gave us an overview of everything.
