One tour that I will never forget - Quite Somber, but extremely educational. Everyone should see one of these camps at least once in their lifetime. Our guide, James was outstanding.

Dachau Visit - James is an excellent guide. We would give him our highest recommendation. He was well- organized and extremely knowledgeable about 20th century German history. We were uneasy about visiting Dachau but he was able to make us comfortable enough to be educated and feel our emotions at the same time. Thank you James!!

Well recommended, this was an excellent tour - James is an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide, he gave a good historical background and summarised a lot of the exhibition in his talk. It was a chilling experience but one that was handled with sensitivity and care. James was also helpful in relation to arrangements for making my flight later that day.

Great tour for a serious and somber location - James was a perfect guide, providing great background on the specifics of the Dachau camp, how it came about, what happened there, and what's gone on in the decades since WWII ended. Definitely recommend this tour to others. Only down side is that there is a regular push to constantly move along, which doesn't always give one extra time to see certain things that might interest them. Aware of that going in and part of the tradeoff of the guided tour experience.

Dachau Tour - Our Dachau tour was extremely disappointing. Our tour guide, James, was very difficult to understand. He was asked a couple times by members of the tour group to "slow down" his talking because we couldn't understand what he was saying. The tour started out late because we had to wait 20 minutes for the train in Munich, and then we had to wait an additional 10 minutes for the bus in Dachau to take us to the camp. James seemed to be trying to make up for that lost time by rushing through the entire tour. We simply walked past many of the exhibits because he kept walking and talking. I tried taking pictures of the exhibits and the descriptions, and learned more from those pictures than from his rushed talks. On at least two occasions, he told the group that they needed to be at a specific place at a specific time, and if we were late, he "would leave without them." Very unprofessional. At the end of the tour, we waited at least 20 minutes for a bus to take us back to the Village of Dachau. Again, very frustrating when we could have and should have spent that time in the camp. James seemed more concerned about getting through and ending the tour than he did about informing us of what happened at the camp. Our expectations were that it would be a very somber but educational experience--it was neither! He could have--and should have--extended the tour by the nearly hour-long time we spent standing in line, but he instead kept pushing us through the tour like a herd of cattle. What was expected to be a highlight of our time in Munich was instead a time of frustration and disappointment. Looking back, we should have done the self-guided tour instead of paying someone to rush everything. I hope this gets passed along to James as well as all the tour guides.
