Great way to discover Munich. - Made getting around Munich so easy, being able to hop on and hop off is such a good idea. Prices very reasonable. You have a choice of tours. We did all.

Clean bus - We like the hop on bus for first day to see what we want to visit. This was a little confusing because it crossed lines so you had to get on different busses to see everything.

Good for those who can’t walk a lot - This was a great way to see places of interest for those who can’t do a lot of walking. But I do wish we could have hopped off whenever we wanted.

Make sure you get on the right bus. - It was very confusing and not the best organized on off bus tour at the beginning. I was put on the wrong bus and did the stadium tour which was interesting but I am not a football fan. When I explained this to the tour guide he just said tough you are stuck with us. So this took 4 hours. I did manage to jump on the correct bus when I got back and did see some great sights but didn't have time to get off and explore as much as I wanted to. The commentary on the bus was good. I jumped off once at the Olympic tower and the views were amazing but I was very rushed as the bus ends at 5pm.

The reviews are accurate for Big Bus Munich! - I’ll give it 3 stars but all these other reviews are accurate and I’ve witnessed it myself. They have two bus tours the green line which has 7 stops and the orange line that has 3. I’ve yet to discover it on Viators site and the agent claim it’s listed here. I use a mobile device no where does it state it’s two lines and 11 stops. It could be pushed into 1 route to be honest. I think it’s more of a money grab stating they have two different routes. The tours are short, they claim to be an hour, probably because they sit at some stops for 10 mins. They’re unorganized, I’ve seen 4 buses sitting at stop 1 when they could be utilized somewhere else. I have also witnessed the stops and audio being out of sync, long pauses of nothing. I’m not sure if it’s the driver pushing the button early, or the locations off and there are some buildings that should have audio and didn’t. It is not worth what they’re charging. Big Bus do better.

Beware, poor service for Big Bus Tours in Munich - We booked both routes for a day for two adults. We confirmed with Big Bus info that we were at a pick up point in the Green line and they said bus comes every 30 minutes We waited for an hour and called information again. They apologized for slow response but said heavy demand. When asked when we could expect a bus, they admitted they didn't know. I think they don't have a real time location finder for their buses. Finally, we told them we would not waste our one day in Munich waiting and asked for a refund. First, said no and offered a ticket for another day. We said this was our last day in Europe. They have ended discussion with a 50 percent refund. We walked around for another two hours, had lunch and then walked around some more and NEVER saw a Big Bus.

Big Bus - Big Failure - Simply stay away from this tour. We booked our trip without reading the reviews. Essentially everything people complain about is 100% true. The tour is a choice of two loops - an inner city loop and a longer loop that surrounds the city. You have no way to know this until you get on a bus and try to sort it out. The bus drives to an interchange point and then you essentially get told to get off. We took 2 buses and the drivers were both unhelpful and clearly hated what they were doing. The recording does not sync with all of the sites and it’s fairly basic stuff that is delivered without any enthusiasm. The driving seemed reckless at times to me. This is waste of time and not your typical hop on/hop off bus. It’s a one star only because we made it to the end without an accident. I suspect with only 24 reviews for the tour, the reviews are always brutal, so they are cancelling their posting to negate the old reviews and start again.

Disorganised and not worth the money - We were very disappointed by Big Bus Tours Munich, especially as we have previously had good experiences with Big Bus Tours in Vienna and London. One of the audio outlets didn't work, forcing a change of seat on a very crowded bus. Unlike other tours, the audio was often silent, causing many passengers to ask if it was working. The commentary did not announce the stops, so the driver spoke over the audio when and if he remembered to announce the arrival. The audio commentary itself was confusing and out of sync with the bus route - at one stage it described a land mark on our left when it was to our right and another time a land mark was described as in front of the bus when it was directly behind the bus. We had booked on New Year's Eve and when we alighted at the first stop there was a small note that the last bus was at 3PM - not 5:30PM as advertised. There was no mention of this on the website and it was not mentioned at the time of boarding. This meant that we were only able to get off the bus at one attraction.

Très mauvais - Ich rate von Fahrern ab, die ihren Job nicht mögen. Ich wurde von einem Autofahrer angegriffen, weil sie eine Pause machte, er war aggressiv geworden und hat mich sogar geschubst, davon rate ich dringend ab. I advise against drivers who don't like their job. I was attacked by a driver because she was on a break, he had become aggressive and even pushed me, I strongly advise against it. I denounced his actions, I wanted to take a photo of him and it was hidden. I never heard back from the service. I was not refunded either because I requested a refund.
