Excellent guide! There is... - Excellent guide! There is nothing more enjoyable than walking, learning, eating, and drinking with a great company. If you do it yourself, you will only get a fraction of what you get with the guide.

Perfect way to spend the first night of your visit in Munich! - Patrick was a FANTASTIC guide for Munich’s Original Christmas Market Food Tour. He is a history buff, so he was able to share interesting and insightful information about the history of Munich, the Christmas markets, and the lore of Christmas itself. We also enjoyed meeting other English speaking people from around the world – which is always fun in a city where you don’t speak the language. My only regret is not waiting to book, as the price went down from €100 to €85 per person (x 2) since I booked only 3 weeks prior.

THE BEST TOUR OPTION! - Oh my word - Kevin was one of the best guides I have ever had on my travels and as an agency owner in the US I have had a lot of guides over the years. He stayed with us about an hour longer than scheduled and we loved every minute of getting to know him and Munich and also learn a bit about Ireland. We came home with some gems of insight. I highly recommend you request him when you book. What a great tour and experience. Thank you Kevin and Fork & Walk, you have all my business.

Wonderful experience with Kevin a the Christmas Markets! - Fork and Walk was very accommodating from the start as I was looking for a Christmas Market tour around lunchtime. My group of 7 enjoyed a private tour with Kevin who was so informative and fun to be with! We had a wonderful time and visited multiple markets with LOTS of tastings and Mulled wine x 3. It was a great way to learn about Christmas Markets, Munich and taste a wide variety of specialties with Kevin! Many thanks!

Great time, lots of food! - We had a great time with Patrick. The weather was very cold and you are outside the whole time so dress warm! But there is plenty to eat and drink and Patrick keeps everyone entertained.

Great intro to Christmas markets in Munich! - A little background - I am truly terrible at writing reviews. I never do it. But after two great tours with Fork and Walk tours, I feel compelled to share my experience. So although this is about the Christmas Market food tour, I need to give a shout out to tour guide Kevin who led us on the Viktualienmarkt tour in May 2023. I really recommend doing one of the tours the first day you are in Munich because not only do you get acclimated to the food scene, it also serves as a really excellent orientation to the city. Kevin gave us recommendations for other places to go in Munich which was so helpful! It was a great start to our trip last year and was one of the highlights of the whole trip. Fast forward to December 2024, which was a somewhat hastily thrown together trip to Munich that we basically did not plan at all until the last minute. When I saw there was a Christmas market food tour, I was super excited… but then saw it looked like there was no availability for the only days we would be in town. Noooo! But the website said to call, so I emailed and asked if it was a possibility. The F&W team was very responsive and was able to fit us in for a 3 pm tour the day we got into town. Yay! That day, our flight was supposed to land at 7:30 am and it was in fact delayed by about 6 hours - so we were rushing to get into town, drop our bags at the hotel, and make it to the tour. We were not going to be able to make it by 3 pm, so I messaged our guide for this tour, Patrick, and let him know the situation. Patrick was great - he shared his location and his clothing while we were close so we could easily join up with the group. We were about 30 minutes late but we were just in time for gluhwein! Patrick also made sure to grab us some food since we missed the first food stop. This tour was a great introduction to multiple Christmas markets, and we were once again very glad we did it on our first day in town as it made us more confident getting around town and enjoying the markets. We had plenty of tasty treats and gluhwein, and it was not an issue with me being vegetarian. If you don’t mind some walking, and you like food, you will not be sad on any of these tours!

Good food and drink at Christmas Market - Visited three Christmas markets and samples very good food and wine. Definitely tried some things that I would not have if not on the tour. Our guide Patrick did a great job navigating us through the markets and shared his knowledge of Munich and the history of Christmas.

Fun but waay overpriced. - Fun walking tour but very overpriced for offerings. Had some nice history from Patrick. Got a bag of nuts, a wurst, a flatbread piece, a sweet bread and 3 diff mulled wines. Got to keep the last cup. It would have been great to have a small bottle of water offered with all this sweet stuff. This is NOT worth $145. Even with no waiting at stands with the group. As a tag along, I didn’t check the price first. Lesson learned.
