Shopping with Christmas lore - Emmet was an amazing tour guide and introduced us to markets we had not seen and shared a wonderful wealth of Christmas history. We initially got lost and rather than moving ahead he came out to find us four blocks away. He took special care to make sure we were informed and felt ready to venture out to shoot on our own Great tour !

Great introduction to Munich and the Christmas Markets!! - This was the perfect way to start our time in Munich. We are visiting for the first time and especially wanted to see the Christmas markets. We had just gotten off the an international flight that morning. So this tour was just right amount of walking and a great way to get an overview of the markets and learn some history of Munich too. I would highly recommend this tour!

Beautiful Munich Christmas markets - This walking to our gave us a great overview of the sites we wanted to see in Munich and the location of five different Christmas markets. We then took time the following day to go back and visit these and shop at our own pace. Would highly recommend.

1st day in Munich and great way to see part of the city - Was a very informative tour giving a good overall view of the markets. Michelle also walked a bit fast but she did also acknowledge that she did. There was a 2nd guide with the group who was smoking a pipe which was a little off putting. Not the sort of tour if you want to look at all the stalls in the markets. More a get to see what is there and come back later.

Not expensive but not worth it either - Tour guide was nice. She quickly walked us through about 4 different christmas markets, but we didnt slow down to talk about the local foods or crafts or anything so dont plan on doing that on this tour. You’ll definitely need to come back and slowly walk through to see all the booths and stalls and unique foods and drinks. Not sure I would do this again. Preferred to stroll thru 3 of the mkts and the streets of Munich myself for 9 hours the day before so was able to take in so much more on my own. This tour didnt meet most of my expectations so I probably wouldnt do it again.

As a German couple, not necessarily recommended - We took part in the tour as a German couple. Unfortunately, this is not really recommended. Pro •Before the tour starts, you can warm up at the Radio Tours station. •Michelle is a really warm and open-minded tour guide. A big thank you to her. •If you don't know your way around Munich (like us), you get an overview of the "hidden Christmas markets" that you wouldn't have found on your own without research. •Halfway through the tour, we were told where to find a toilet, so the group would have continued browsing the market. Con •The advertised "cookie tasting" at the start of the tour is unfortunately a plate of different cookies (presumably supermarket cookies) from which everyone can take one (be careful, not allergy-friendly) •The informative highlights of the tour should already be known to every German - Caspar, Melchior, Balthasar including the consecration of the house - The sale and decoration of Christmas items (nutcrackers, Christmas pyramid, tree decorations) - Christmas delicacies (mulled wine, gingerbread, potato pancakes). •In the "Christmas pyramid" section, it was said that families who want to show off to their friends and acquaintances put up a very large and expensive pyramid. I have to admit that I don't know the pyramid custom from anywhere in central Germany. You rarely find a pyramid, if your grandmother wants to put it up and has one from the family. A "show-off" ("show-off") like you see in American films with Christmas lights and decorations is completely unknown to me in Germany. •A group of 7 Mexican women took part in our tour. Unfortunately, their behavior was not reprimanded and was tolerated for over 2 hours. They behaved completely inconsiderately towards the whole group: - they delayed the tour enormously by repeatedly making people wait, - they did not arrive at the agreed meeting point at the agreed times and actually had to be searched for, - the rest waited another 15 minutes at -4°C at the agreed meeting point, only to find that the women had first got a sausage roll to fortify themselves (a recommendation: if people do not arrive on time, the tour will continue without them). Because everyone else pulled themselves together for the benefit of the group and postponed their personal wishes until "after the tour". Recommendation for all visitors to Germany: Bring warm jackets, underpants, hats, scarves and gloves with you. The American guests had problems tolerating the cold and were unfortunately dressed far too cold (I hope you got home safely).
