This was a great full... - This was a great full day. The drive was as much of an experience as the castles! The castles were amazing but be advised Neuschwanstein Castle is a lot of walking and a lot of stairs. Marcus was a great guide with clear instructions and very knowledgeable about history.

Loved it! - It was the perfect snowy day to visit these magnificent castles! We decided to hike up to the Marien Bridge rather than take the shuttle bus….It is not for the faint of heart! I think I would take the bus if I had to do it over again. The view from the bridge is spectacular!!!!! The castles were wonderful too! We had a fantastic lunch in the town and plenty of time to see the castle too.

Such a fun day! We had... - Such a fun day! We had Christine as our guide and she was super informative and made sure we had the back ground info needed to get the most out of both tours. My brothers and I did both Castle tours and felt that they were worthwhile. Linderhof is gorgeous inside and has some pretty grounds to walk around as well. Neuschwanstein is about a one mile winding uphill walk from a picturesque village. Our only regret is not having the time to go above Neuschwanstein to get a picture from the bridge but that was our fault due to prioritizing time in the town versus going right up the mountain. All in all an awesome experience!!

Outstanding experience! If you only do one tour, choose this one - Although we were a little uncertain as to whether we had arrived at the correct check-in/pick up point and could have used a little more detail about that, our trip was excellent! Christine and our driver (whose name I cannot spell) ensured that we smoothly and timely arrived at each destination, and gave us all of the detail we needed in advance. The bus ride was smooth and comfortable and there was just enough detail without being overwhelming. Highly recommend as a day trip from Munich!

Top notch tour! - The trip to Linderhof and Neuschwanstein castles were worth every penny…or euro! Christine was an amazing tour guide and answered all of our questions in both locations. Gendron got us there and back safely on the comfortable bus. Our family highly recommends this tour if you have a day while in Munich.

Great experience! - The tour and guide were awesome. Ample time at each location to explore on one’s own, prior to admission times. My only ding is on the admin side. On every email I received, ‘Meeting Spot’ was blank. Blank as blank gets. I showed an email with this omission to the guide (She said ‘that’s no good!’), and said we only found the meeting point because it was buried somewhere on the website. One also needs to bring a minimum of €50 CASH per person on this trip. That fact is not blaring out in any communication. It is buried within the email, and only visible if you scroll down, click ‘read more’, and scroll down to ‘exceptions’. Several people on our tour, including myself, missed this little detail. In this day and age, cash is rather old fashioned and one should have the ability to pay any extra collections via a mobile card terminal. Two suggestions: EVERY email on your tour should state the precise location of the meeting, and mention the need to bring Euros in cash in BOLD letters at the top of every single email.

Nice trip, horrible tour-guide - The bus was comfortable, and the sights were absolutely lovely. Getting skip the line tickets was really worth it. However, the tour giude was just simply horrible. She showed up late, and ever since stepping on the bus, she never stopped talking about totally random things, that caused us a migrane. "The people paryed and the plague went away because of this and the king was found dead with the doctor in the lake a day late, and you all must know Lidl, I think there is one in your country too, when the Romans...." We had no clue about the day's program, stops, meal etc... It was a torture. We would've liked to hear anout the history maybe legends of the place, but none of that happened unfortunately. If we had a good guide the trip would've brrn 5 out of 5, but this way, it was a torture for us!
