Amazing experience - I would recommend this trip to everyone travelling to Munich. Everything went great. Moreover , after acquiring the tickets online I had a question that I raised to the company (I was not sure if we could buy entry tickets to the castles from the bus, given there was not option to pre-select it) and they answered the next day, with clear details. About the trip: we met at the Karlplatz, we were there 20 mins earlier, thinking we would be amongst the first, but we were not :). We could have gone earlier to sit at the front of the bus. There were 4 or 5 busses from the same company, you can just easily mention the type of trip you had booked and some of the guides will help you find the right bus. The trip was very entertaining, our guide Alberto was very nice and funny, explaining us details about Munich, king Ludovic and his family along the way. There was no moment of boredom while going to the destination. The organisation was also great. Before arriving at each castle Alberto was giving us clear instructions about what is worth visiting, guided tours, meeting time and departure times. Important to note, we bought entry tickets to the castles in the bus, from the guide and when arriving at the destination the guide would go and purchase the tickets on our behalf (they reserve a number of tickets) and then hand time over to us. Linderhof castle is nice and small and has beautiful gardens- we were unfortunately traveling in Nov and the statues were covered (not to be damaged by the cold) and water was not running in the fountains, but it was still very nice. After Linderhof we traveled to Neuschweinstein. On the way Alberto was explaining to us how to get to the castle, what to visit around , where to have lunch etc. The castle is absolutely amazing, the view is breathtaking and makes you feel part of a fairytale. You must go to Marienbruke (10mins from the castle) to get the great vie of it. It’s pretty crowded but you can take very nice pictures. Totally worth it. Inside the castle is also very nice and you should not miss it. It’s unlike any other castles we’ve seen. On the way back Alberto gave us more information about the castles and king Ludovic and then it was all quiet - everyone was very tired and it was a good relaxing trip back. I need to mention our woman driver, Corunna that drove us safely along the way.

Wonderful day trip - I had a wonderful day trip to Neuschwanstein! The weather was perfect, and the travel went smoothly. I enjoyed learning about the history of King Ludwig II, thanks to Elisabeth, our knowledgeable tour guide, who shared so much fascinating information about the two castles. The hike up to Neuschwanstein was a bit challenging and required some physical effort, but it was absolutely worth it. The bottle of beer provided by the tour at the end was the perfect reward!

This tour is highly recommended and good value for the money - Elizabeth is friendly, kind, service with a smile, and a world of knowledge about the history of Ludwig and surrounding cities on they way from Munich to Neuschwanstein. . And most importantly, safety is first and Simon operated bus very safely and was a wonderful barista.

Perfect day trip to the royal castles - We had a fabulous time on this tour. Our guide, Elizabeth, was amazing. She was funny, charming, and provided plenty of information about the region, the history, and the people. The time spent in Oberammergau was pretty brief but the village is cute, although we went on a Monday and most of the shops were closed. Both castles were worth doing, although Linderhof is notable because they clearly have no preservation budget and things were repaired with tape on the ceilings. The elaborate French style there was a great contrast to the style of Neuschwanstein, though, which is more German fairy tale. More of the interior of the latter castle is finished than I had thought based on other reviews-- it's worth going in just for the decor. The tour there is comparable in length to the tour at Linderhof, for example. There is a very steep walk to the castle itself that's pretty long (but Elizabeth gave us plenty of warning and advice on that point). I'd be prepared to walk a couple miles there and back on slightly rough terrain. The whole day trip is well paced, too--it never felt too long and we got back to Munich at a good time. The driver, Dragan, was a pro and drove very smoothly. Overall I can't recommend this tour enough!
