Positively Wonderful - This is a great tour. We had comfortable seating on the bus, it was cool bus and the large windows allowed for great views as you were driving along. We were greeted with refreshments as we got on and all along the route as we were out all day. Our guide and driver were wonderful. I accidentally left my bag on the bus when we got back. I was scared all night, but the driver took responsibility of my bag and took care with all day and returned it back the next day. Thank you so much.

Beautiful castle! - A fabulous castle! We did the 2 castle stop and tbh it was just too much. Our tour guides were fantastic but doing it in July is crazy! There were so many buses and people there that by the time we got there for lunch there was no food left at any of the food stops. The tour operator recommended Muellers Bistro - there was a long queue so we were committed. There was one person serving and checking the kitchen sittings. All that was left was truly disgusting hotdogs which I couldn't eat! We then had to run up to see the castle. I hate giving a bad review but my tip is - take food with you and spend time at the bridge and the castle instead - and don't do the 2 castle trip, do Neuschwanstein only. It's incredibly beautiful.

Tour was Incredible … our guide was AMAZING!! - We did the standard, non-VIP tour. It was FANTASTIC. The tour things later; but first, our guide worked his tail off to make sure we had the best time. He was EVERYWHERE all the time. He told us how it all worked, bought our tickets (we just had to pay) served drinks (for a small fee), told us how to maximize our time, took several photos for us. HE WAS AMAZING!! For non-VIP you have to buy your castle tickets separately if you want the tours (which you do). It was super easy, on the drive there he asked how many tickets. Then you paid on a mobile terminal and it was done. They also sold water, soda, beer on the bus for relatively inexpensive. The experience itself was also great. The castles are lavish. The King liked to spend some cash on his “pads”. We stoped at the Linderhof Palace for long enough to take the tour, walk the grounds, grab some pictures and stroll through the gift shop. Then went to a small town with all kinds of little gift shops. We finished with the Neuschwanstein Castle. Guide told us how to plan to make the most of it. We had a nice Bavarian lunch (not included with non-VIP; but, we expected that), went to all the photo spots, took the tour, and soaked in the unbelievable views. It was about 4 hours in a bus; but, it was comfortable, had AC, phone chargers, great scenery, and beer for purchase. If you are thinking about doing it; stop, just do it. It’s a great worry free experience.

Great day, great sites! - This tour was great! Meeting point was very easy to find and the tour guides were very organized. It’s a lot to fit into one day, but Jonathan was attentive to guests needs while also being clear about meeting/departure times. My only suggestion would be to have a little more time in the village of Hogenschwangau. But that would have made the day even longer! I highly recommend this trip!!

A sight to see. - When in Bavaria Neuschwanstein Castle is a must see. It’s a challenging climb if you don’t take the bus up and walking down will make your calves burn but the view is worth it. Everyone needs to get that “money shot” from the Marien Brücke. 😀 I understand why Disney fashioned his Cinderella castle after it.

A memorable trip - As I was travelling solo I did the vip trip. I was really pleased I did as the guide arranged everything for us. I think it would have been quite stressful trying to book castle tickets upon arrival. Especially at Neuschwanstein. Our guide also reserved tables for lunch in a lovely restaurant for those who wanted it. I thought the 2 castles were well worth the visit. The only reason I didn’t rate this excursion as 5* was I felt it was a little rushed at the first 2 stops (Linderhof and Oberammergau). I would have liked more time to explore the grounds at Linderhof - perhaps at the expense of Oberammergau as there was only a short time there as well. We had a lovely guide Beatrix and I was impressed with the seating, spaciousness and comfort of the coach.

No Time - There was no time to get anything done. The tour through the castle was extremely rushed and in such large groups that i was having to hear information in my headset about a room i wasn’t even in yet. The time frame for the castle is so small that there is no time to get any food if you would like to take pictures at the main viewpoint. The tour guide pushes buying souvenirs in a small town that are supposedly "cheaper" than they would be at the castle. They weren't. I would recommend doing a tour that’s solely Neuschwanstein and hopefully with a different company.
