Nestled amidst the foothills of the Alps, the charming, historic town of Fussen is surrounded by some of the world’s most stunning natural landscapes. On your exclusive small group tour from Munich, you will explore the mystical Neuschwanstein Castle, be treated to the most picturesque views from the lake, witness the incredibly beautiful Hohenschwangau Castle from a perfect aerial viewpoint, and visit the waterfall gorge.
- This tour involves an approx. 30-minute uphill walk. If you prefer not to walk uphill, an optional horse-drawn carriage will take you most (but not all) of the way to the top; please note that the optional horse-drawn carriage is weather dependent and also depends on the day.

Great day tour by Jeremy and Daisy! Would recommend - Perfect for a day trip! Our guides Jeremy (from Australia) and Daisy (from Brazil) were very engaging and knowledgeable about the castle, King Ludwig II etc! Would recommend!

You Americans Use a Guide for Neuschwanstein Castle! - The trip was wonderful! Stevo was our guide! He starts out like an obnoxious guy from Jersey (no offense to you New Jerseyans), but takes care of everyone like they are his students or kids. We could not have asked for a better guide. There was a wealth of information and history. it was worth having the guide for the history, the ease of getting into the castle, and the direction! We contemplated trying this on our own with a friend who speaks German and were so glad we did not. It was one of our best excursions on this trip!

We had a perfect tour to Neuschwanstein Castle - The entire trip was a wonderful dream come true!! The castle and surrounding scenery were delightful! Our guides, Deyse and Dan, were so pleasant, knowledgeable and organized that I can’t say enough good things about them! And they were especially kind, attentive, concerned and helpful with a medical issue that arose with my husband. The driver was very good also and attentive to safety. This was a perfect excursion and we highly recommend it!!

What a splendid day - Stevo & Nick were wonderful guides, providing an informative and interesting history of the area, castle and King Ludwig II. While at the castle, we were shown some other, less busy areas to obtain beautiful photographs.

Trip to Neuschwanstein Castle - Really enjoyed our tour! Had two tour guides — Nick and Stevo, who made our whole trip really fun and easy from start to finish! Got a great history lesson along the way and got to see some beautiful sights

Great tour! - Nic and Stevo were great guides, full of historical information. They made the trip fun as well! The bus was clean, the office location was easy to find with the instructions provided. Highly recommend!

Excellent - The tour was perfect, timely pre-departure directions, very precise and punctual. We left by private bus our guides Werner and Iris were excellent both in the meticulous historical description of the events that characterized the history of the Castle and in personally guiding us during the excursion. Iris was also particularly attentive to a small problem I had with my baby. Highly recommended.
Unfortunately the weather was not excellent, the castle was perpetually covered by fog so the asoettativa was disappointed but the guides were able to make light even the moment of disappointment that had accompanied us a little.

Great Trip - Great trip. We appreciated the way the trip was structures with specific meeting times for transportation but the freedom to wander on our own.
Nik and Stevo were great in making sure our group knew we would be able to see the extra sites along the way and still make our scheduled castle tour.

Tour with the best guides I've ever done!!! - Very nice trip, we left Munich in the morning returning at the end of the day. Despite many people on the bus, it was divided into two smaller groups with two fantastic guides, Dayse and Lana. We stayed at the Dayse Group, who told the whole detailed story in English and Portuguese. The kindness, sympathy, knowledge of these guides made all the difference so that besides the place to be beautiful the tour be perfect!!

Castle Adventure - Our guide, Thomas, was amazing! He was so knowledgeable, and when the castle had to be evacuated due to a possible fire, Thomas was cool under pressure, communicated well with us, and kept things on track.
