Visitors can delve into the city’s fascinating history, enjoy the vibrant Marketplace, and discover where to find the renowned Nuremberg sausages and “Red Beer.” Explore the Old Town, enjoy the view from the Imperial Castle, visit the beautifully restored Gothic Church of St. Sebald, or simply relax over lunch and absorb the atmosphere.
After a break, the tour will reveal the darker aspects of Nuremberg’s past at the former Nazi Rally Grounds. Here, Hitler’s architect Albert Speer designed and initiated the construction of the “Temple City of the Third Reich.” This site was where the Nazis marched for the saluting crowds and propaganda films, creating some of history’s most notorious images. Visitors will stand amidst some of the largest Third Reich ruins in the world as the guide explains how the city addresses this history today.
