Additional Information

The concept of a third gender isn’t just a speculative notion or a lifestyle choice. By contrast, faith and religious mores embody theories, ideologies, and indeed, they constitute lifestyles.

With this mindset, we journey through Munich and engage in discussions about LGBT matters, encompassing topics such as society, history, churches, and the epoch of the Nazis.

It’s a startling fact that Islamic history bears record of accepting homosexuality. The Catholic church, too, has historically bestowed blessings upon knights and their comrades in the medieval times.

Bavarian Prime Minister Franz Josef Strauß once expressed disdain towards homosexuals by stating, ‘I would much prefer to be a cool adversary than a warm comrade.’

It’s a sorry state of affairs, but this statement bears witness to the discrimination faced by the third gender in Bavaria. Bias originates from faith, fear, or politics, and despite the grueling pace of progress, we’re still a distance away from the liberation that was commonplace in our society two millennia ago.

In my Munich tour, I elucidate certain issues pertaining to the oppression and acceptance of homosexuality in Bavaria. Figures such as Freddy Mercury and King Ludwig II are integral to this discourse.

Fabulous and full of information - Spectacular tour. Not only interesting general history but lgbt inside knowledge that we wouldn’t get anywhere else. He brought us to historical sites and fun current places, like the Pink Christmas Market. Made the city come alive. I wish he had a tour in every city that we visit. Highly recommend
