Comfortable ride to Salzburg with good guidance on places to visit. - Our second tour booked through Viator. This trip as well as previous trip was great. The driver was very good. We were dropped off conveniently near middle of town not far from bridges. It was a relaxing and smooth ride across Germany through the Austrian border. It was Winter so there was no stop at the Lake District or boat ride. Which was fine as our family preferred more time to explore the Salzburg shops especially the Christmas markets, restaurants and landmarks. Melanie our chaperone was great in making sure guest felt comfortable walking about town and finding their way back to the rendezvous point on time. Melanie provided good instructions, historical information and recommendations with a little humor which made the engagement with our guide comfortable.

Laid back Salzburg experience. - Our tour started with a relaxing bus ride from central Munich to Salzburg, with informative commentary along the way. Upon arrival in Salzburg, our guide took us on a guided walk around town, pointing out key sights. We were then given free time to explore to our heart's content. Our day ended with another relaxing bus ride back to Munich. Out tour guide (Melanie) and driver (Robert) were professional, helpful and accommodating; nothing was too much trouble for them.

Great day tripping! - Melanie was a terrific tour guide and articulated the sites and opportunities both in Salzburg, the Lake District and Munich. The drive by Hubert was seamless. The day trip was well worth it with wonderful sites in Salzburg for young and old.

City of Mozart - Salzburg, a small big city (laughs). Salzburg is a very beautiful, clean and organized city. It has only 157,000 inhabitants, however, it can concentrate immense points of interest, from medieval fortresses, churches and streets to iconic places of historical films such as Music in the Heart and the acclaimed Mozart. For Mozart the house called Mozart Birthday's Place is the one worth it, unlike Mozart's Residence. The cemetery where the catacombs are also located is very beautiful as well as you can have very good views of the city! The tour from Munich was well done, the guide Elisabeth was very friendly and humorous, explained very well the points of interest of the city, put a good soundtrack and gave very good recommendations. It is necessary to optimize the weather very well and choose 3 attractions to visit as there is no time for more! To emphasize that they can not wait for delays in Salzburg as the city has very restricted rules for tourism and parking! You should taste the Mozart chocolates (they are more expensive and delicious) as well as the local cake that you buy at a hotel near the bus stop, the Sacher.

Fabulous - We were on our honeymoon or familymoon as we called it, as our children came along. This trip was well worth it and we would recommend it to anyone. Elisabeth our tour guide was amazing. Such a lovely lady and the information she can recall is second to none. The driver Hebrew, (apologies if I have got that wrong) is also a great guy and a really good driver. Salzburg itself is beautiful and great for anyone whether your a 'sound of music' fan or not. We enjoyed it that much we intend on going back to Salzburg for a long weekend. If it was possible to give Elisabeth 10 stars, we would.

Skip this tour on Grayline - Definitely skip this Grayline Salzburg day tour if you’re visiting in winter as none of the itinerary description was covered. The guide Alberto only gave us instructions on when and where he is picking us up and gave no information of any sights in Salzburg. Unless you find it worth paying 2x the amount of a train ticket on a really comfortable coach ride, you’re really better off with time and dollar value doing this trip on your own with google maps for real directions.
