Look forward to an exciting, informative, and above all, enjoyable excursion in our luxurious new minivans. With our friendly and professional tour guide by your side, you will be in excellent hands from the very beginning!
…after passing by the Theresienwiese - the annual venue for the world’s largest folk festival, the Oktoberfest - we leave Munich and head south on the motorway…
- Zugspitze - Experience an unforgettable day and an awe-inspiring 360° view from Germany’s highest mountain. Even the ride on the ultra-modern aerial cable car is a unique adventure!
Alternatively, and/or for the return trip, the cog railway can be taken. The glacier cable car between the cog railway’s mountain station and the summit can be used as often as you like.
During the summer months, you can borrow (subject to availability) Rodels (“Zipfelbobs”) from the ‘Sonnalpin’ restaurant. There, or at Germany’s highest beer garden, or one of the many other restaurants on the Zugspitze, you can enjoy a variety of meals to suit every taste.
Get heavily discounted skip-the-line tickets for all 3 Zugspitzbahn (Zugspitz cable car, glacier cable car, and cogwheel railway) for just €50.00 per person!
- Eibsee - Nestled at the foot of the majestic Zugspitze, Eibsee is one of the most stunning alpine lakes. A short walk to the shore will reveal why it is aptly called the “Bavarian Caribbean.”
- Hohenschwangau - After another hour of driving through the beautiful Upper Bavarian landscape, we approach the Alps and can see the towers of Neuschwanstein at an altitude of around 1000m. We soon reach the quaint village of Hohenschwangau, which serves as the starting point to Neuschwanstein Castle (and also Hohenschwangau Castle). Your guide will provide you with skip-the-line tickets to Neuschwanstein Castle and a very detailed map of the area.
- Schloss Neuschwanstein - Neuschwanstein Castle remained unfinished due to the early and mysterious death of its creator, King Ludwig II of Bavaria, and is certainly one of the most visited attractions in Germany for this reason.
Due to the Corona crisis, tours of the castle have been reduced from 58 to 35 people, and therefore demand far exceeds supply. However, as a participant in our excursion, you will always receive tickets for the castle tour without any waiting times!
Your tour guide will also ensure that you arrive at the castle in time for the start of the tour.
- Marienbrücke - THE top viewpoint of Neuschwanstein Castle - and one of the most famous in the world! The steel Marienbrücke bridge was constructed in 1866 under Ludwig II - three years before Neuschwanstein Castle began construction. In snow and ice, both the Marienbrücke bridge and the shuttle bus service are closed there.
- Altstadt von Fuessen - (OPTIONAL - only when booking the 11-hour tour duration “XXL-Time Credit”) * This extremely charming medieval town boasts a 2,000-year history. As the favorite seat of the Habsburg Emperor Maximilian I, Füssen experienced its first heyday at the beginning of the 16th century; the “Hohe Burg” - one of Bavaria’s best-preserved medieval castles - was adorned with unusually rich architectural and illusion paintings as early as 1499. Take a stroll through narrow streets and be enchanted by the well-preserved city walls, crooked houses, and the Italian-looking former monastery complex with its magnificent Baroque church. Enjoy a refreshment in one of the numerous outdoor cafes or explore the many shopping opportunities.
- Starnberger See - Enjoy the ride along the second largest Bavarian lake and see the spot where King Ludwig II mysteriously died on June 13, 1886.

NEUSCHWANSTEIN, constructed by King Ludwig II, enchants with its fairytale charm and served as inspiration for Walt Disney’s Cinderella castles.
The Zugspitze is a remarkable mountain offering a unique 360° panorama with stunning views of numerous Alpine peaks, along with fun and adventure in the eternal ice!
Choose from two different tour lengths to explore additional sights or spend extra time at your personal favorites!
- Can you walk the slightly uphill asphalt path from the car park to Neuschwanstein Castle - approx. 1.5 km within an hour? If not, an additional (waiting) time requirement for the horse-drawn hybrid carriage or the shuttle bus must be taken into account. In any case, you still have to walk about 450 meters (with a gradient of up to 15%) or around 500m (with a gradient of up to 19%) from the respective final stop to the castle entrance. The shuttle bus does not run during snow and ice. We would be happy to accompany you so that you can reach your tour on time.
- There are a total of 346 stairs (up and down) to climb in Neuschwanstein Castle. If this is too much for you, and if you have a corresponding medical certificate stating that you are unable to walk or have limited mobility, etc. (must be scanned and sent to us in advance), we can arrange an exclusive lift service just for you with a maximum of one companion, accompanied by Castle staff, book. The elevator service is at no additional cost, but (due to fire regulations) the number of tours with this service is very limited and must be reconfirmed by the castle authorities.
- Neuschwanstein Castle can also be reached with strollers, but neither they nor other larger items of luggage (e.g. baby carriages, larger backpacks) are allowed during the castle tour.
- If you plan to spend a longer period of time outdoors on the Zugspitze, please remember to wear suitable clothing (temperature differences of 20°C/68°F between mountain and valley are not uncommon!). For those who would like to try out the sleds, we recommend a change of clothing. Please also remember sunglasses and sun cream!
