most powerful dictators, Adolf Hitler. Join us to explore the dark side
of Munich’s history as the birth place of Nazism. Follow the growth
of the movement from its first mass meeting at the Hofbräuhaus,

Knowledgable tour. - Josh did a good job summarizing a lot of knowledge in the 2 3/4 hour tour. He put the buildings in context with the events of the rise of the 3rd Reich.

Historical Munich, Hitler and the Third Reich - Alex was very knowledgeable about the facts of the third reich. He gave us a great tour of the related sights and told us much about the history of the area affected by WWII. He also gave us information about museums and exhibits in Munich. He answered any questions we had and was kind and considerate to everyone.

Tacky Tour - Nothing to do with Third Reich - I live in Munich, and did a tour with my family who was visiting. The tour started off with a 10 minute talk about D-Day, Normandy, the church (Sainte Mere Eglise) where there's a paratrooper in the window, and how the Americans saved Munich. The guide stopped for 2 minutes to play a Youtube video of "Taps" instead of explaining the rise of national socialism. We stopped in front of the Opera, without explaining what it's role was, skipped Platzl, and ended blocks from Königsplatz, where the NS Doku-zentrum is located. Towards the end of the tour, he gave another 3 minute lecture how the "big tech companies" take all the money, and how essential it was to tip the guides and leave five star, not four star reviews. He also mentioned how important it was to mention his name "Josh" to make sure it's recognized. In the end, we skipped most of the historical points, and the guide was obsessive about being neutral. Skip this tour, do not go on it. Save your money, and join any one of the numerous "free" (pay what you think it's worth) walking tours that start at Marienplatz. We did one of these "free" tours, and learned a lot more about Hitler's rise, and Munich's contribution to his rise in 20 minutes than the original 2.5 hour "Third Reich" tour.
