- Ancient Theatre of Ohrid - Antique Theater is located at the foot of the eastern slope of the higher Ohrid hill, under Samuel’s Fortress, near one of the main entrances to the fortified city-the Upper Gate, from where one captures the unforgettable view of the lake and the mountains that surround it.
It was built more than two millennia, sometime at the end of 3rd or the beginning of 2nd century during the late Hellenism and was intended for plays, musical and poetry performances for the lovers of theater art.

This immersive tour offers a journey through the eldest regions of Ohrid and a hands-on culinary experience. Delving into its stunning architecture is sure to provide lasting memories! As we walk, I’ll enlighten you with many tales associated with the area. The starting point for our tour is the main square, where we’ll witness a display of filigree work. Next, we move on to learn about the making of handmade paper. Following this, we’ll move onto St. Sofia Church, one of the oldest and largest churches in Ohrid. From there, we continue to a presentation that extols the famed Ohrid pearls, and then carry on towards the Ancient Theatre to catch breathtaking views of Lake Ohrid. Following the walking tour, a car will pick up the travelers and shuttle them to a nearby farmhouse (a 10-minute drive), where they will partake in preparing a traditional meal known as ‘komat’. After experiencing the process of making and savoring the komat while sipping Macedonian wine and coffee, travelers will be returned to the initial meeting spot.
