Really enjoyed it- especially the elephants - This was a great half day tour that took us out of Munnar to see the beautiful countryside . Balu drove us in a jeep and we stopped to look at some tea plantation villages and spices growing in the wild .
We also stopped at a waterfall for a swim.
Then on to an area where elephants come in the evening. They arrive when they are ready and we were delighted that they did.
Bali was a fantastic friendly knowledgable guide. Highly recommend this trip.

100% recommend! - We had a brilliant day with our guide Balu on the jeep safari. He was an expert driver - very safe, and the jeep was in good condition and comfortable. Balu was very knowledgeable about the area, its history, the plants and wildlife. We learned a lot from him! We saw some beautiful views of tea plantations, a waterfall, tried some cardamom and coffee beans straight from the plant, and to top it off saw a herd of elephants!

An awesome afternoon - We have had an amazing tour with our guide Balu. We told him we were interested in birds and flowers and he figured out to show us so much of it. We also got lucky enough to see a lot of elephants. We highly recommend the tour with Balu.

Wild elephants - This tour is so much more then watching wild elephants. Our guide really took his time to stop whenever we wanted on the way there. We looked at waterfalls and talked about different plants an wild life in general.
Watching the elephant family coming to down from the jungle to drink was an amazing experience. Really recommend.

amazing experience - We were able to see the wild elephants coming out of the forest and into the river. It was a really amazing experience! We had to wait some hours because they came out pretty late, but it was completely worth it! Until then people were playing sports and gathering in the little tea shops, what was also fun. Our guide was also really nice, showed us different plants on the way there and wanted to make a stop at a waterfall and a cave, but they were sadly closed because of the heavy rain on the day before.
I would definitely recommend this tour! Thank you! :)

Amazing experience with wild elephants - Did a Jeep Safari to Anakkulam with Philip and it was an amazing! We stopped at a Waterfall and had beautiful views all the way through. Philip was such a great guide, super informative and was dedicated for us to see wild elephants. It had been raining a lot so we couldn't go to the tiger caves and we still took the risk to see the elephants (apparently don't come out if its too rainy). We got lucky and saw total of 12 elephants! With a herd of 8 stopping to bathe and drink in the water. Was such an incredible experience all thanks to Philip and our driver. Many thanks!

Elephants on the loose with the good humor of Philip - Great experience thanks to Philippe's explanations and smiles. We spent two busy days with him.
1) visit the Chinnar reserve, even if we did not have the opportunity to meet many animals the experience and the shared fruits delighted us thanks to the explanations of our Guide.
2) visit the tea fields thanks to Philippe a working family welcomed us in their home very nice experience. After an info we change program to meet elephants in the wild. Beautiful!
With a little patience a whole herd shows up before our amazed eyes.
In summary I highly recommend these excursions even if it is still a bit expensive and the jeep drives very very slowly.

Balu and the elephants - Balu was a fabulous guide. He took us through the area he has lived all his life, educated us about tea and spices, and when the elephants were late in arriving and we had given up hope and started the journey home, he got a message about 8pm that they were coming and he turned the keep round to allow us to see them. Great tour, great guide.
