An unforgettable experience!!! - We did the wild elephant village tour with Munnar info and Sooriya was our tour guide. We very highly recommend Sooriya and Munnarinfo for your tour needs in Munnar. Sooriya was so personable, friendly and kind and ensured that we had an amazing experience. He started the tour by taking us to his own home and serving us some tea followed by a tour of the tea estates and a few other amazing spots. The tour ended at the wild elephant view point. We knew that sighting elephants is based on luck because these are wild elephants so we waited for an hour or so and started our drive back having no luck. Almost 30 mins after we started our drive back, we got a call from another tour guide that elephants have been spotted and Sooriya immediately turned the jeep around and took us back to see the elephants. Needless to say this was a very amazing experience thanks to Sooriya

9 hour TOUR jam packed with mesmerizing views and experiences - Surya was our driver and let me tell you, he was amazing. First of all, it’s NOT really a safari in the sense of driving through the forest and seeing animals. It’s a tour. Because the name stated safari, I expected a bunch of animals included elephants. So the beginning of this tour was slow and confusing. BUT I wouldn’t change a thing. Surya took us to his home in a small village that is a part of the Tata tea plantation. We learned about his family who works for the Tata tea plantation. He served us some delicious fresh tea. We were grateful for his hospitality. Next, we made 2 quick stops at a church and Mandir in town. The best part was that we could spend as little or as much time as we wanted. Surya never rushed us. The next stop was the tea plantation. It was raining so Surya generously let us borrow his umbrella. We walked amongst the tea plants get to a view point. We’re not sure if we actually got to the view point but the scenery was beautiful and mesmerizing despite the rain. After this, Surya suddenly made a stop and told us to walk for 2 km. We were surprised but it was the best walk ever. We took our time, enjoyed the scenery, took pics with/without the tea plantations, etc. If you can’t walk long distances, this isn’t for you, but we LOVED it. One of our favorite moments. Next were the Viripara waterfalls and Tiger cave stops which we couldn’t do bc they were closed due to the rain. No problem though. We got a delicious lunch with Kerala thali and another entree at a nearby hotel. The drives through the forest were amazing. We drove to the elephants next and Surya rushed us there once he got the call that the elephants were in town. We got to sit and watch these beautiful creatures amongst the other tourists. Next came the drive through the river. This was so unexpected and felt almost like an amusement park ride. So thrilling. The jeep stalled so we got adventurous and walked upstream the river. We got some uninvited guests in the form of leeches. Surya helped us get rid of them. Then it was time to head back home. But wait, the tiger cave was open and oh my!! That was the best part of this trip. I’ll let you experience that moment for yourself. Before heading home, we made a last stop for the spice garden. It did cost 100 rupees per person but informative regarding Ayurvedic treatment. I wouldn’t recommend buying there as it is very expensive. We got home about 9 hours later and we had the best time during our Munnar trip. Definitely recommend. If you can ask for Surya, please do. He’s friendly and knowledgeable and explained a lot throughout the tour.

Beautiful rainy day in Munnar - Even though the day was cloudy and rainy, we could enjoy a very beautiful jeep tour through the tea plantations and we ended up seeing two elephants, which was really exciting. Suresh is a very nice guide and good photographer. Totally recommended.

Wild elephant spot ! - We had a lovely time on the tour. We stopped at lots of beautiful areas and were always pointed to the best photo opportunities. The complimentary lunch was very impressive. Our favourite aspect was our driver Ganesh who was very knowledgeable and had inside information on where we could spot the wild elephant !

Tea garden + elephant day out - The tea garden views are amazing. The included lunch is also delicious. Elephants do as they are please so there is a chance you don’t get to see any. We were lucky and got to see one at the very start of the trip. We then waited a couple of hours at the elephant village view point but none came, it’s the name of the game. Ganesh, our guide was very patient and passionate about telling us all about the area and it’s stories. A very good day out!

Beautiful day! - Beautiful day in the company of suryan our friendly and helpful guide. We did not see the elephants because we asked to be escorted back to munnar first because we had to take a bus, but we learned that they arrived in analulam a few minutes after our departure. Excellent lunch

Nice tour - We saw many interesting and important places in the region. Our Guide knew a lot about plants and animals. We just would have loved it to have more of an historical overview or at least a few mir information about the history of the region. But other then this we liked the tour a lot.
