Great nature and historical sights within three days - Excellent tour seeing mountains, hiking and swimming in Wadi Shab, visiting Turtle Beach (real turtles!), sunset and overnight in the desert camp, visiting historic sights and much more. During 3 days seeing the best of Oman outside the capital area. We had a friendly and caring guide and driver Khalil Aljabri with great knowledge of all aspects of life in Oman, introducing us to some very good selection of Omani food during our trip (sambusa, mandazi, luqaimat), preparing for us real tea in the desert dunes. Very good car and accommodations. Highly recommend.

Unforgettable adventures on a 3 day tour of beautiful Oman - Our guide Aziz provided us with 3 amazing days of travel and adventure. Highlights for us were Wadi Shab, Oryx Camp in the desert, Nizwa Fort and Green Mountain. Aziz gave us information on the places and lots of cultural information about Oman. During the trip we lost a phone and left a bag in a cafe which was all sorted and swiftly resolved by Aziz and the network of guides. Wadi Shab has high and slippy rocks all of which Aziz comfortably navigated and reassured us along for some unforgettable memories of cliff jumping and swimming. The only improved would be the itinerary instructions surrounding dress at the Wadis so we could be better prepared for swimming in the Wadis. Luckily our guide was on hand to assist with this. Overall would highly recommend this 3 day trip for unforgettable and breathtaking experiences to see Oman in all its beauty. Thank you Aziz.

Amazing adventure in the heart of Oman! - We had a great time exploring this beautiful country with our guide Ali! Ali was a knowledgeable, friendly and considerate guide who would always go the extra mile to make sure we enjoyed our trip. Everything ran very smoothly with good time at each of the sights. We loved seeing the wadis in particular, and the glorious sunset in the desert!! As two female travellers we would highly recommend Ali and Star Tours as the way to get about Oman!

Very good tour along some sightseeing points in Oman - We had Waleed as perfect guide. We have seen all and maybe more points from the description of the tour. During the 2 hour passages by car, Waleed told us a lot about the country, the habits and all other questions that came up. We would never have seen so much of the country without this tour. At the various stations we never felt like beeing in a hurry for the next station. Waleed gave us all the time we needed. We met very friendly people and enjoyed the tour very much. Thanks a lot to the whole team also.

Amazing wadi - Wadi Shab stands out as the premier wadi experience in Oman. The journey culminates in an extraordinary cave where you can swim, immersing only your head in the serene waters. The interior reveals a breathtaking scene, complete with cascading waterfalls from the mountain rocks. Highly recommended for an unparalleled natural spectacle!

3 days on the road exploring beautiful Oman - Just completed a wonderful 3 days (2 nights) tour of Oman with Abdul Majid as private guide/driver. I saw many phantastic places and was impressed by the friendliness of the Omani people we met along the way. The highlights of the tour were - on day 1 - the sinkhole, Wadi Shab and, clearly, the wonderful turtle experience at Ras Al Jinz. On day 2 we visited the Dhow factory (wharf??) in Sur, as well as Wadi Bani Khaled (great swimming), and the beduin house. I finished the day with the optional (extra charge of 18 Rial) quad bike sunset tour in the dunes, which was a particularly memorable experience - don't miss it! I was lucky on day 3 (since it was Friday) to see the goat and cattle market in Nizwa, where we also visited the suq and the fort. Thereafter, we drove up Jebel Akhdar to see the terraces where pomegranate and roses are planted. After the irrigation system at Beirkat Al Moz we returned to Muscat. I liked the accommodation provided (Turtle Beach Resort and Arabian Oryc Camp) a lot, too. Highly recommended if you have 3 days to spend outside Muscat!

Book the trip! - Amazing trip! We are two female friends who have travelled extensively and Saif is the best tour guide we have ever had! We did a bespoke trip and from the initial email I sent the service was impeccable. Roda from the office accommodated our itinerary and hotel preferences so don’t be afraid to ask if what you want isn’t listed. There was also lots of value add from Saif our amazing guide on things we didn’t know we’d be missing. From the moment he picked us up to the moment he dropped us off he was nothing short of excellent from teaching us about the history of Oman to driving in some of the most treacherous conditions I have seen he was brilliant. Kind, caring, generous and funny with excellent English. I couldn’t recommend him more. Book the trip and ask for Saif!

Oman tour - Exploring Jebel Akhdar, the lush green mountain, Nizwa Fort, the vibrant Nizwa Souq, and the charming Birkat Al Mouz Old Village was an utterly enchanting journey. We strolled through these captivating locales, but the real highlight was the timeless beauty of the Old Village, which left a lasting impression on us. Outing with friends - Our recent group excursion was a delightful experience, as there's nothing quite like unwinding and exploring with friends. Oman with Start Oman, for sure! - I signed up with Star Oman because I read a lot of good feedback in TA, and they did not disappoint! Roda was an angel to work with, very warm and quick to respond to emails. She also provided a lot of tips that are very practical that made the trip stress-free and fun! In Oman during the actual trip, Karen took over the coordination and was very attentive and patient, ensuring that we are always connected. Our guide, Ali, is one of the kindest and most sincere gentleman we have met. Never intrusive and always accommodating, he goes the extra mile to ensure we are well settled-in and always comfortable. We got along so well in the 3 days that we ended having dinner in his home on the last day, which we truly appreciate. On logistics, Ali was always on time on our agreed meeting time, ready with plans but flexible still to adjust to last minute requests. We never felt rushed or hurried, specially when we were shopping in the souk. He will even help us haggle for discounts. On the one night we stayed in Jebel Akhdar, he also purposedly came back to the hotel to bring us to dinner as he heard that I wasnt too keen on hotel food and wanted to try some new dishes in the Iranian restaurant.
