Great experience, perfect service! - We booked a three day private tour with Oman Sunshine Travels because we didn’t know if we could manage driving around Oman on our own, especially in the deserts of Wahiba Sands and up in the mountains. Sunshine Travel even helped us before our trip to create the best itinerary. Our driver Khalid Al Siyabi picked us up in Muscat and made the journey unforgettable for us. He always was on time, drove safely and provdied masses of information on the country, its economy and the people. We never felt uncomfortable in any way. If (or rather when) we come back to Oman, we will explicitly ask for Khalid again.

Fantastic tour and guide - We went on a 3 + 1 day trip to Oman and book a private tour with Star Tours Oman. Me, my wife and my 2 kids, aged 8. It was an amazing trip. Our tour guide, Hamood, was fantastic. Lots of knowledge on the country and culture and also super entertaining with our kids. The tours are very flexible, totally tailored to what we wanted. Our guide would pick us from the hotel and drop us there at end of day. We visited Muscat, some of the Wadis, beaches, historical places, local markets and the sand desert. We would definitely recommend him and Star Tours.

Unforgettable Oman. What a Treasure! - A 3-Day tour of the northern regions of Oman, nothing short of spectacular. Natural beauty in abundance, delivered through stunning landscapes that left us breathless. A country with so much to offer, from its coastal regions into the desert, up the mountains, into the towns and through its lively souks. History that stretches back millenia, which you feel everywhere you go, with people who embody kindness and pride in a way of life that is a treasure to experience, even for a few short days. Oman as a tourist destination is infused with a relaxed vibe that you don't want to let go of. Our private tour guide, Ahmed, was fabulous. Very knowledgeable about the places we visited, he helped to impart a sense of the culture, the history, and the day-to-day life unfolding, at its delightfully relaxed pace, all around us. A real joy spend time with, to talk to and learn from during our visit. He's an expert navigator of the Wadi Shab — a river gorge that cuts deep into the canyons, which takes skill to navigate. Having Ahmed there to guide us on the trek made the magic of the place all the more accessible. It is, hands down, one of the most naturally awe-inspiring places you'll ever set foot in, and if you have any regrets after visiting it, it'll only be that you didn't go sooner, and spend more time soaking it in. Ultimately though, this is just one more reason to go back to do it again. Timing in between stops, especially when they're spread over hundreds of kilometers, can be a challenge, but Ahmed had it down to a tee. The itinerary came together smoothly, and despite the distances, did not feel rushed. To go from the town, to the beach, to the Wadis, to the coast, into the desert, to visit with an actual (not staged) Bedouin family in their camp, was phenomenal. Then over to Oman's historical capital, Nizwa, with its faithfully restored fort and expansive souk, before making our way to an ancient village overlooking a lush banana plantation with the mountains in the background to frame it. Unbelievable. It was an action-packed 3 days that, somehow, never felt hurried. Thank you Ahmed for taking such good care of us and showing us a slice of your beautiful country. We will be back!

Fantastic Tour for a Family - Saif was a fantastic tour guide. From the pick up to drop off he made every single minute of our trip incredible. We had two kids aged 5 and 7 and he made it interesting and fun for them. You can tell he is a family man as he was able to connect with them even when they were jetlagged and tired. The pacing of the days were perfect and Saif always took his cues from us of we were tired or wanted to spend more time somewhere. I would strongly recommend this tour and you are very lucky if you get Saif, 5 stars for sure.

Perfect three days in Oman with Aziz - Our three day tour of Oman was perfect from start to finish. We saw some incredible sights and made memories that will last a life time. A special thank you to our guide, Aziz, who made sure we were looked after and comfortable the entire time. Aziz is extremely knowledgeable, keeping us informed throughout the three days, but we were also very impressed with the way he took note of our interests and went out of his way to include things that we would never have found ourselves. We would definitely recommend Star Tours Oman (and Aziz!) to anyone.

Incredible Omani Adventure with Star Tours Oman - We had an absolutely incredible 3 days with Aziz of Star Tours Oman! We saw so many spectacular sites, and created memories that we will treasure forever! Aziz was very considerate, and always made sure we had everything we needed and saw the things that particularly interested us, to make our experience truly special. We considered hiring a car and driving ourselves, but our tour with Star Tours Oman was infinitely better than trying to do it ourselves, because Aziz made everything easy and showed us things we definitely could not have seen without a knowledgeable guide. I definitely recommend Star Tours Oman.

Must do tour! - My wife, daughter, and I just finished doing a one day tour and then this 3 day tour with our guide Amer. The tour is a must do as you get a really nice overview of Oman and learn a bit about the people and their culture. Amer was great at educating us along the way and keeping us safe and well taken care of. He always made sure that we were comfortable and informed. He was especially wonderful helping with our 5 year old daughter and became her new best friend and like a new family member to us. I can't recommend this tour enough and especially ask for tour guide Amer if you can. We have traveled around the world and have taken many tours. Amer is the best!

Highlight of the trip! - We had a really fantastic day with Amer! The Dhow factory was interesting and informative to learn about Omani history and trade with India, Africa, and the Arab states. Wadi Bani Khalid is beautiful. The pools were perfect for relaxing and for a refreshing swim. The highlight of the day (and maybe the whole trip) was watching the sunset in Wahiba Sands. The desert is stunning and our daughter loved running and playing in the sand. Amer took some cool photos and answered a million questions about life in Oman. The Arabian Oryx Camp was comfortable and accommodating. The dinner was delicious. There was live music and afterwards, we had tea and relaxed in a large tent while the children played. We didn’t want the day to end. Highly recommend!
