There will be a photo stop outside, or for those wishing to enter, the entrance fee is 8 OMR or 21 USD. The grand mosque is home to one of the largest single-piece handmade Iranian carpets in the world, weighing an impressive 21 tons and accommodating up to 20,000 worshippers.
(Dress code for the grand mosque: Men and women must wear long sleeves and long pants, and ladies must cover their hair.)

- Every Friday the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque and the Royal opera House are both closed, so it will be a photo stop only.
