- Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque - You will go to see the biggest mosque in Oman and you are will walk with our tour guide inside the mosque. Photo is allowed. Women’s must wear scarf and short not allowed.
- Royal Opera House - You will visit the Royal Opera House by a special guide from the opera.
- Qurum Beach - You will walk in this beautiful area of Muscat.
- Mutrah Souq - Mutrah Souq is a traditional market housed under modern timber roofing. There you can buy frankincense which is locally produced in the south of Oman (Luban), you will also find local jewelry, kashmiri textiles and perfumes.
- Bait Al Zubair - You will visit the Bait Al Zubair Museum to learn more about Oman.
- Al Alam Palace - You will visit Alam Palace and two Portuguese forts (built in the 1580s). Outside walking.
- RESTAURANT - You will be invited to experience Omani traditional food in Ramssa Restaurant by our tour package.

Additional Information
This experience is a private tour with a local Omani guide managed by an official tour company to discover Muscat City. We are providing a special free lunch to experience Omani traditional food (end of the trip). The tour start towards the biggest mosque in Oman (capacity 20,000 people) that was opened in 2001. The mosque is a unique companation of islamic design from around the world and Omani architecture. Then you will continue to the Royal Opera House which was open in 2011 by the order of Sultan Qaboos. Then you will have a short stop over in Al-Qurm Beach.The tour continues on to Muttrah souq which is a traditional Arab market housed under modern timber roofing. Next, visit Bait Alzubir Museum to learn more about Oman history, social life, tradition and customs, old civilization and many different collections from the past. Then, you will have a photo stop on top of old Muscat City, Alam palace and two ancient Portuguese forts. Finally, it’s time to enjoy local Omani lunch.
- In Sultan Qaboos Mosque, Women must wear a scarf, and a full dress to cover, and shorts are not allowed.
- On Friday, Sultan Qaboos Mosque and some attractions will be closed to visitors. We will do our best to make different visits to Muscat Viewpoint to recover your trip duration.
- Visiting time of the Sultan Qaboos Mosque from 8 am to 11 am. There are different times to start the tour. If you want to make a night city tour you will choose at 3 pm.
- On the night city tour, you will visit most of the places from outside for photo stops and you will spend more time in the Mutrrah Souq.
- We are accepting any guest have transection from Muscat International Airport

Private Muscat tour with guide - The whole trip was an amazing experience. My family and I had so much fun exploring Muscat and it's wonders. Great tour - Great tour around the Muscat. All the main historical sides are covered, beautiful beach, all that you want to see. Tour guide Saud was very nice, knew a lot, answered all my questions. Definitely recommend for visitors.

Great tour guide - Ahmed was an amazing tour guide. He was friendly and funny. He was very knowledgeable and explained the history of Muscat clearly. He was funny and he went above and beyond for us. He showed us local areas and showed us some places that wasn’t in the itinerary. He took very good care of us (two ladies) he also took us shopping . Thank you so much Ahmed, we had an amazing time and we highly recommend anyone visiting Muscat to book with Ahmed - you will not regret it.

Great Day in Muscat - We have made this tour in novembre this year with our guide Musab. He was very nice and friendly and has shown us all interesting places in Muscat. We have booked the full day tour, which was a very good decision, because so we had more time at the sightseeing attractions.and got the possibilty to see places like the fish market and the national museum which are not included in the half day trip. For that reason and of course it is more relaxing, I would always prefer the full day trip.After one day in Muscat you have very good insights and impressions about the capital of Oman. Our guide was very good in explaining the traditions and the life in Oman.And even we had a lot of questions, he always was patient with us. For sure we have learnt more from him as an native Omani Guide, then you can learn from a Non-Omani Guide.
We have made two more tours with him and always felt in good hands.

Great Day in Oman - On a beautiful day with Saud, we spent a great day in Muscat. We visited Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque (the biggest mosque in Oman). Then, we continued to the Royal Opera House. Next, we get to the Souq of Muttrah and we buy frankincense locally named Laban. Also, we visited the Zubair Museum and Sultan Alam Palace. Finally, we get the opportunity to test the real Omani food. I highly recommend Oman Compass Tours for their great work.
