The ocean near Muscat is teeming with biodiversity, thanks to its geographical positioning and the regular influx of cold-water currents that nourish the local coral populace. The region from Musandam to Salalah, along Oman’s coastline, serves as a popular hunting and migration route for various species of dolphins, including spinner dolphins, bottlenose dolphins, and common dolphins, with Muscat enjoying a significant number of these visits. The marine life spectacle extends to creatures like whale sharks (observed primarily between May and October), false killer whales, and sporadic sightings of humpback whales, as well as orcas. On infrequent instances, visitors might even witness Arabian and blue whales. We take great efforts to provide a sustainable approach to wildlife observation, to preserve our marine inhabitants and guarantee a worthwhile experience for all spectators.
