Highlights
  • Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque - Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is the main mosque in the Sultanate of Oman, showcasing traditional Arab architecture and insights on the Arab culture, featuring a huge, 20,000-piece library.

A stunning building crafted from beautiful, white sandstone, the mosque has five minarets and a huge central dome

The Mosque also features the second-largest hand-woven carpet in the world. Taking four years to be produced, it contains 1,700,000,000 knots and weighs 21 tonnes. Another major feature of the interior design is the chandelier above the praying hall

  • Royal Opera House - The Royal Opera House Muscat is Oman’s premier venue for musical arts and culture. The opera house is located in Shati Al-Qurm district of Muscat on Sultan Qaboos Street. Built on the royal orders of Sultan Qaboos of Oman, the Royal Opera House reflects unique contemporary Omani architecture, and has a capacity to accommodate maximum of 1,100 people. The opera house complex consists of a concert theatre, auditorium, formal landscaped gardens, cultural market with retail, luxury restaurants and an art centre for musical, theatrical and operatic productions.

  • Wadi Shab - The beautiful Wadi Shab is an extremely famous outdoor attraction for locals as well as expats in Oman. The beautiful wadi, surrounded by picturesque hills and date palms is something the whole family will love! A beautiful area in the wadi is the gorgeous waterfall inside one of the caves in the mountain. However, to reach there you will need to hike for about 40 minutes. The hike takes you through a beautiful but rugged path where you will see two to three pools where you can swim. You could even dive into the pools from the mountain cliffs! Alternatively, you could also jump into the pools from inside the cave. If you have time do so some more exploring, keep an eye out for some old houses which were once used to keep cattle.

  • Bimmah Sinkhole - Bimmah Sinkhole is a water-filled depression, structurally a sinkhole, in the limestone of eastern Muscat Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman. A lake of turquoise waters, it is 50 m by 70 m wide and approximately 20 m deep. It is only about 600 m away from the sea, between the coastal towns of

  • Mutrah Souq - Al Dhalam (Darkness in Arabic) Souq is the local name for the Muttrah Souq. The Muttrah Souq is perhaps one of the oldest marketplaces in the Arab world. It is located adjacent to the harbour of Muscat harbor and has seen immense trade in the age of sail, being strategically located on the way to India and China.[3] It has been named after darkness because of the crowded stalls and lanes where the sunrays do not infiltrate during the day and the shoppers need lamps to know their destinations. The name of the market has been drawn specifically from the part that extends from Al Lawatiya Mosque to Khour Bimba where the place is really full of stores and stalls and the narrow area of lanes does not allow the sunlight to enter. The market was a source of supply for Omanis where they can buy their needs in the 1960s when life requirements were simpler than today. Most of the goods were imported, in addition to local products like textiles, fruit, vegetables and dates.

  • Al Alam Palace - Al Alam Palace is the ceremonial palace of His Majesty the Sultan. The palace is located in the heart of the Old Muscat, it is surrounded by the Al Jalali and Al Mirani forts and will soon be facing the upcoming National Museum of Oman. Former Sultan’s used to live in a house called Bait Al Alam which was demolished in the early 70s to build this new Palace in its place to be the official residence of the Sultan of Oman.

Saturday Tour - We spent the day with Jamal, and he was an incredible guide! He was extremely helpful in navigating at Wadi Shab and when we toured the Grand Mosque, Opera House, the Souq and the Palace, he allowed us to enjoy the sights while he taught us about the history and took pictures for us. Truly an incredible experience.

great and great! - It was my first time in Muscat and I wanted to remember this city. To do this, I reviewed many companies that are engaged in excursions and decided to stop at Gidoman . So, I didn't regret my choice and it was the coolest ride of my life. Our guide Ilya, talked to us very interesting information about the city sights. Most of all, I liked the Corniche Road and the old market. We took amazing photos against the background of snow-white beautiful buildings like in the tale of Aladdin. I want to say a huge thank you to the company Gidoman for what you do, I will recommend you to all my friends!
