Informative half day tour of Muscat with friendly Khalid. - Khalid picked us up from our hotel and took us to the most beautiful muscat sights. He was so informative and relayed many facts. Nothing was too much trouble.

A very warm and welcoming guide to a beautiful tour in a wonderful city! You will feel instantly comfortable. - My guide Said is a phenomenal tour guide. He picked me up at the hotel and we dove into the rich culture of Muscat right away. He immediately made me feel very welcome and was warm hearted at all times ! He explained to me the fine points of the culture of the country and the city, as well as its landmarks and cultural highlights. After the grand mosque, which in the afternoon could only be viewed from the outside, we went to the opera house which is awe inspiring and beautiful. The visit to the Old Souq gave me the feeling of really diving into where locals would shop and Said explained how locals would bargain and where to buy what. He was very patient while I was trying to find a very specific piece of jewelry and when we could not find it here he went the extra mile and offered to take me to the Gold Souq on the other side of town after our tour would be concluded. Not only was this a very nice gesture, but also did I find what I was looking for in the end :) before that, though we also viewed the Sultan’s palace as well as some really nice evening views of the beautifully illuminated Muscat from up in the mountains as well as on the coast side. The Portuguese forts made for very nice photos as well as beautiful memories. I would definitely recommend this tour and Said as a guide to anyone. And I will definitely return for some of the other tours he offers.

Perfect first day of 2025! - We arrived in Oman on the first day of 2025 and started the new year with the private 1/2 day tour. The company was easy to book and communicate with leading up to the tour. Our guide, Amer, picked us up from the airport promptly as planned in a comfortable SUV. He was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. We’re traveling with our five-year old daughter and he was very patient and playful with her. All of the stops on the itinerary were great. We especially enjoyed the Mosque, the opera house, and getting to try an Omani bread and tea. We’ve only been here one day and we’re already blown away by the beauty and history of this great country. Highly recommend.

Great half-day Muscat city tour 😊 - With our guide Faisal in his Land Cruiser we had a super private tour. He told us a lot about country and people and entertained us great. We had felt the good 4 hours very comfortable. It was an excellent trip for us. Thanks again to Faisal and STAR Tours Oman 😊

Great tour - Our guide, Waleed, was excellent. Knowledgeable and willing to tailor our tour to the things we wanted to see. In fact, the Grand Mosque was closed the day of our tour, so he took us there the next day before our tour outside the city, so that we could see the inside of the gorgeous mosque. Waleed speaks softly. So if anyone in your group has hearing issues, they might want to make other plans.

Muscat highlights in an afternoon - Mr Khalil Albrajij was a wonderful host and driver. So knowledgeable about Muscat and its history. The tea and Omani bread was something we had not tried before and was a real treat. It was Sunday afternoon so the mosque was closed but I think worth going back to. The opera house also interesting. The standout building was the palace in old muscat- beautiful. Thanks for your hospitality Khalil - much appreciated

Driver nice, tour better yourself by taxi - The driver was very nice. The tour itself can be done better and cheaper by taxi. Not the hotel taxi! Always use the app: Otaxi oder Yango! Unfortunately, there's not much to see. The opera was great, but costs extra admission. The Great Sultan Qabus Mosque was closed. We visited them the next day by taxi. It's also free.
