Excellent insight into Omani history and Muscat sites - Our half-day city tour of Muscat with Sameer was truly inspirational. Sameer's passion for his country and city shone through every moment of the tour, making it an unforgettable experience filled with sights, smells, and insights into Omani culture.
One of the highlights of the tour was visiting the **Grand Mosque**, a magnificent work of faith and passion by the late Sultan. The mosque's stunning architecture and serene atmosphere left a lasting impression on us. Another must-see is the **Royal Opera House**, a testament to the Sultan's vision for the arts. If you're fortunate enough to attend a performance, it will undoubtedly enhance your visit to Muscat.
Exploring the local life at the **fish market** and **fruit market** was delightful. It provided a glimpse into the daily lives of the people and the vibrant culture of Oman. The tour also included a visit to a museum, where we learned about Oman's incredibly rich history, adding depth to our understanding of the country.
If you only have time for one tour in Muscat, this is the one to choose. Sameer's knowledge and enthusiasm made the experience exceptional. We highly recommend this tour and hope you are lucky enough to share your journey with Sameer.

Perfect excursion - Our tour guide Saif Al Brashdi was very friendly and helpful. He responded to our wishes and gave us not only the sights but also a great impression of the life of the Omanis including samples of the local food as well as exciting points about the history of Oman. We would book the City Tour with him again at any time and can only recommend this.

Very good tour - Very good trip! We visited the mosque of the sultan, the opera, the Mutrah souq, the palace of the Sultan and at the end the National Museum. Our guide was Samir, we enjoyed a lot the day with him, we learned a bunch of stuff about this beautiful country. He made us try the Omani tea called “Kahwa” but also local food.
I highly recommend.

Wonderful tour guide ! - We had the pleasure of going on a half day city tour with tour guide Sameer. He was knowledgable and patient. Not only did he drive us around in comfort, he told us so much about Oman and all the sights that we saw. I would highly recommend him if you are looking for a friendly guide in Oman.

Khalid the man ! - Our experience with Wabar Tours exceeded all expectations. Khalid, our driver and guide, was truly outstanding. His deep knowledge of the history and culture of the region enriched our journey immensely. Khalid's hospitality was unmatched, making us feel not just like tourists, but like honored guests. Amazing trip - Amazing driver/guide - My daughter (15yrs old) and I did the half day Muscat private tour with our driver and guide, Khalid. It was superb.
Khalid tailored the trip to our needs, and re-jigged the order to give us the best experience. From the moment we got into his car (and he asked what temperature we wanted the car to be set at), with drinks and snacks in front of us, we were looked after like royalty.
We saw the fish market, the fruit & veg market, then went to the Grand Mosque, the Opera House, one of the old Souqs and then saw some of the royal and governmental buildings. All the time, Khalid gave us incredibly knowledgable information about everything we past, the buildings, the history, the topography. It was 5 hours of permanent information, and all so very interesting. All thanks to Khalid.
Everything we saw was amazing, but it was the way Khalid personalised the tour for us, and in particular for my daughter that made it so special. He was so attentive, so caring and truly made sure she did and saw everything she wanted, including finding the things she wanted to buy in the Souq (and helped her barter!)
The Grand Mosque was probably our favourite visit, but everything was really interesting. It was the perfect trip.

Excellent guide - I cannot express how much I enjoyed the tour, primarily due to samr’s guidance and thorough knowledge of the major sites . Samr not only provided excellent historical narrative of the sites we visited, but also listened to my wishes and concerns and adapted the program as needed. You cannot go wrong with choosing to tour with Samr.

Great experience! - We booked a Muscat city tour and Khalid was our guide. We were very pleased as not only his knowledge about the city is great but he also is very kind and helpful to navigate the more traditional areas. We visited the Sultan Mosque, the Royal Opera House, the Souk and the Sultan Palace. Khalid was very patient and organised and made our experience very pleasant. He helped us communicate with the locals and explore the Souk, while explaining local customs throughout the tour. Would recommend if you’re in the city! Thank you Khalid
